So the numbers have crunched out all hopes of manlands or fast lands in M19... Seems like we will have to keep waiting... What are your thoughts of not getting a rare land cycle?
Honestly this set is a trainwreck unless they spoil the last day that they will be randomly inserting treasures into packs like they did with the original Zendikar. That will be the only thing that saves this set at this point.
With everyone being said I am seriously debating asking for a refund on my preorder. This set has fallen completely flat on its face. There are maybe a handful of cards I really want from this set. I do not play commander and it seems they have stated leaning their Masters set in this direction. It really sucks, but it is what it is.
unless my math is wrong blue has 45 cards and 8 of those 45 are multi colored cards... that would make 37 solely blue cards... However, I do not think the first card is going to be Ugin anymore unless we get a 16th mythic. I think we are more likely to get gurmag angler out of fate reforged now. However, I could definitely see it being a colorless card though, but a white card is more likely now that accumulated knowledge was spoiled at 40.
You say this, but if you look at previous sets they do not have all the same amount. Iconic Masters had 1 less blue card then the other cards. It had 37 just blue cards where the other colors had 38.
Actually Eternal Masters only had 1 White Mythic in Balance, so we could see W only get Armageddon and that number one slot be Ugin. It is a real possibility nothing from Fate reforged has hit yet.
Are we ruling out the fact that Aether Vial could be printed at 214 in front of Azorious Signet? I am not sure the breakdown, but it would be awesome to get Aether Vial and Chalice as the last 2 Artifact slots if there is one in front of the Signet. Also I would like to see more Merfolk stuff if we see it tomorrow it might make me believe that Aether Vial will be in the set at 214.
The game is 25 years old and the designers are running out of ideas... this gives them a new color to design around it is not a colorless mana it is a wastes mana. it is a new color (Grey). This lets them reprint cards from the last 25 years into a new color. I personally like the idea and think it will be nice to finally have an even number of colors. However, it does mean the backs of the cards will have to be changed.
Everyone it is obvious that they are making a new many type so they can print 5 new fetchlands for everyone to collect. I mean Fetches is what everyone wants anyway right?
Too be honest I know we have limit slots for this deck, but with all the new access to land we have... why not just make it a domain deck? Not the worst idea.
