No one else thinks it's super weird that they were planning on keeping track of energy with cards? Between tokens and clues and emblems the field is already too crowded with garbage cards. It never entered my mind fora second that we would be keeping track of energy with anything but dice

At very least it will be a format staple. It will be jammed into every competitive standard deck. One of its plus abilities makes it a two Cmc planeswalker. It's legit hype. I'm not sure about legacy play but this card is pushed harder that any planeswalker in a long time

This is just an observation and I am probably misguided here but does anyone else feel like there are way too many mythic rares in this set? Particularly MRs that don't earn their designation

That's not JUST a shady practice it is also illegal. If it wasn't a complete waste of time you should report them to the BBB

Hey I am newish to magic and this is my first exposure to the madness mechanic. I don't get why this particular card is good. I thought that the strength of magdness lied in the fact that you could pay a lower mana cost in exchange for figuring out a way to discard it. Can someone please explain this card to me

Save all of your counter spells for their ramp spells. I expect precisely no one to agree with on this next point but crumble to dust is a much more useful card than infinite obliteration. You might consider that for your sideboard.

Also you need a way to go wide and quick in that matchup I agree either the previous comment that monastery mentor is the most efficient tool to to do this. I would:
    - 2 infinite obliteration
    -1 exert influence
    - 1 virulent plague ( unless token decks are a huge problem
In your meta and even then it's suspect and cut the fathom feeder instead)
-dragonlord's prerogative ( or just find room for it in your main deck)

    + 3 mentors
    + 2 crumble to dust

    IMHO of course

Clearly this is all leading to a five color ally deck that no one will likely employ. It's weird with the Converge ability on some non-creature spells that the restriction (at very least they could have limited it to creatures and planeswalkers) is on this card. It's also weird in light of that restriction that this is a rare card This is an undebatable uncommon card. But I can pretty much guarantee I am going to use this card with great regularity
