Or well, at least anything but another "power of friendship saves the day" story again.
Yeah the Oath of the Gatewatch Storyline was the weakest I have seen since I have been playing Magic (Kamigawa block). Two great Nemesis destroyed in one attack. Lame.
I am guessing that it is Blue White (possibly red splash) control with Ephara, Elspeth, Assemble the Legion, and ... Trading post. Make a goat token on their turn, draw a card on your turn.
Trading post was everywhere in U/W control the first few weeks of Theros standard. So I see it as entirely reasonable with Ephara. Draw sooooo many cards.
Sort of disappointed because I rather liked Monstrosity (even if it only managed to produce 2 constructed playable cards with the ability). Tribute, like other punisher mechanics really needs to be pushed to be any kind of good.
I expect one or two constructed playables per keyword. Albeit, "Detain" being one that hasn't really caught on in constructed.
If the goal was to invest $300 and get a positive return . . . why are we talking about buying Magic cards . . .
I'm not saying that people won't make money or lose money, I don't care either way.
I disagree. What I see people saying is that they want to get their money's worth. Nothing wrong with that at all.
Very few talk about actually making profit on a blind packed product, so basically you are constructing a red herring to get on your soap box about. That is like planning to make money by playing the lottery.

I agree with the others. How exactly is this a "Storm".

Just so you know, there is no conjecture here. It says it right in the Mechanics Article under the "Gods" section:
"Hybrid mana symbols such as White or Blue Mana count toward both their colors but aren't counted twice."

Otherwise the U/B God is going to be active as soon as he is played if there is a Nightveil spector on his side of the field.
I never want a situation like they have in yugioh were you can actually weight the packs to find the better rarity cards.

Of note was there were Planechase 2012 amongst these decks. I was able to snag the deck with the Shardless agents in it. See attached picture.
