Loam decks just got a huge boon in the cycling lands, especially astral drift decks. But also just assault loam, dredge etc.

What would these loam decks look like with the cycle lands and Wrenn? It makes me wonder as a Jund player.

Throes of chaos is a 1 of in the side if you want to grind, I think hilariously making this a spell everytime you draw a land in the slower matchups is hilarious. This demands a surgical or a spellbomb or RIP to get rid of in those fair matchups.

This is depressing, as I did use established section as a real resource for fine tuning decks. Man, this is a bummer

    Frown

Monday and Tuesdays spoilers have looked really bad outside of Oufy/Ouphie.

...Dude, the card doesn't belong in any thoughtseize deck

Do you really want to pitch your Goyf or Traverse to play it? Against Moon decks, sure. But everything else? Definitely not.

I'm excited for Wrenn and Six, no doubt! Whether it passes the "Will it Jund?" test I don't know. My only issue with Jund Shadow is if it becomes too graveyard dependent (which it already is). At that point it's Shadow or bust. With dredge and phoenix also doing so well at the recent tournament that doesn't help.

Ouphe is also a good sideboard card. As of now I think it may be more for Rock, but I will certainly play it in Jund, as playing that on turn 2 on the play is nice.

Thursday is when we'll know if this was a good set or not. Still waiting out until then.

I'm absolutely glued to this spoiler season so I can say, "SEE, I TOLD YOU SO!" to absolutely ******* nobody; it's actually quite unhealthy. I'm not usually expecting much if anything from spoilers and sets, but WOTC and the community have hyped this set up so much as being a second coming that I expected my archetype not to be fed hot garbage.

Like, as of now, Jund, Rock, Shadow have still received nothing. Abzan received a card, but Abzan has so many fundamental issues as of now it doesn't matter. I also think Kara's Guile is more of an esper card not Abzan. God knows the 3 drop slot in that deck is already filled with too much.

I just want a god damn good card, and so far most of Tuesday's big spoilers is already done with. So far Yawgmoth and a 3/3 undead dude isn't doing it. Neither is an unplayable snow deluge (not enough product).

God, based off these black cards revealed in the spoilers midrange was definitely not in mind when horizon was being created.

These horrible 4 drop black creatures are barely playable

I understand that many of you will disagree, but I have yet to see a single main deck playable level card spoiled from MH1, excluding the slivers and the canopy land cycle.

Doesn't Kess hurt the Grixis decks? She allows your opponent to just play removal for her, no? Am I missing something here?

Nope! He's way too slow and doesn't fix Abzan's huge problems.

    Devoted midrange black deck, yo.

I think Abzan Company decks are coming back into modern.

I wonder what a devoted black deck with these cards look like. Or if it would splash white, which is probable.

Whichever. I'm massively bitter as a thoughtseize player with Horizon due to the awful spoilers so far in the archetype, but I can admit this set will change modern quite a bit as a whole. I wonder what changes to become the top decks.

Rock will definitely play this, playing Creeping Corrosion has felt outdated for a while. It's also a turn 2 play against Tron. I wish we saw more cards like this in the set, it's the type of card that would affect a ton across the board.

As of now, I'm interested in purchasing

    2x Ouphie foil
    2x Wrenn and Six foil
    2x Nurturing Peatland foil

Not sure Force of Despair will be great in modern for GBx.

Yeah, Ouphie now makes people wanting to splash white for Stony more tolerable.

A good 1 or 2 of in the sideboard for certain metas and certain GBx decks.

Still waiting for something that helps the archetype out (HINT: It's not Toxic Deluge).

Artifact getting a lot of hate between Karn, Green Force and this. I'd be pissed as an affinity player.

Making a fixed silvan library that is gb would fix tron from using it effectively
