    So based on the art and flavor text of Lifespring Druid it looks like Zendakari shamans have the ability to restore land calcified by the eldrazi to its' former health and life. Zendikar is going to be able to go right back to as lush and verdant as it always was. I'm not sure if this is a trait unique to Zendikar, but if not it kind of makes me think Sorin and Nahiri probably could've saved that other nameless plane just by having the nature mages restore any areas Ulamog wasn't currently in. (Just jokes guys, but I do think this reduces the magnitude of Ulamog's impact on the plane.)

    I've been wondering for a while if the eldrazi are the multiverse's scavengers. Like they eat planes, poop out colored mana, and that becomes new plane. It might be a Lovecraftish end if the hero's win but learn they and everything they know are just the accidental byproduct of eldrazi feeding. This is kind of unlikely though I'm assuming. I'm still hoping Wizards will pull a fast one on us TBH like Aligned Hedron Network shows the moment the heros thought they had Ulamog captured before he breaks free again, but I'm not getting my hopes up for that.

    Another interesting thing about the rakshasa is they are demons who summon other more chaotic demons as servants. Rakshasa are just Tarkir's version of demons but, excluding dragons, they seem to be the most powerful, and really only, supernatural/otherworldly force on the plane. The argument could be made that the Kin-tree spirits and the Temur elementals are their supernatural equivalents, but both those factions got more or less stamped out in the dragon's timeline, while the rakshasa are still around. I don't know if this is a testament to their power or just to Silumgar being more inclined to accept old-enemies as uneasy allies but I'm inclined to think the former.

    Do you guys think we'll get any white eldrazi? I was kind of assuming we'd get some processors that let you gain life but it seems like the eldrazi are mostly being put into black and blue

    Taking a break from BFZ to look back at Tarkir for a moment, I think we can all agree there are a lot of unanswered questions about the rakshasa. They are obviously powerful, as they were the behind-the-scenes rulers of a clan in one timeline, and one of the few forces that could make the dragonlords (or at least Silumgar) uneasy in another. The most interesting thing to me is that the Uncharted Realms from Fate Reforged "Doom of the Golden Fang" suggest rakshasa live in a separate realm,and come to Tarkir when summoned by the Sultai, perhaps somewhat similarly to how the Theran Gods live in the separate realm of Nyx on Theros. Where are they coming from? Could this possibly mean they are aware of the changed timeline? And just how powerful are they? Is this thread pointless until we get more information in the inevitable Return to Tarkir? Always interested to hear your thoughts.

    Cards like Brutal Expulsion and Crumble to dust are really making me wish they'd left the colorless spells as Eldrazi Tribal cards that could benefit from Eye of Ugin and Eldrazi temple. On turn 4 they are probably not really powerful enough for modern, but if you'd been able to turbo them out they could've been really strong.

    Big Island HI;
    A fair few Brews and lots of slightly budget tier 2-3 decks like tokens, soul sisters, living end, and boggles. There's not a huge amount of modern players but some people have multiple decks, so it's rare to play in a tournament where the same archetype appears twice.

    Yeah I'm pretty sure Mist Intruder is one of Ulamog's, plus Ulamog's Nullifier and Smothering Abomination have shown that some of Ulamog's spawn can fly. Soooo not to drift too far into speculation territory, and as I've said I'm assuming Wizards is saving the other titans for later blocks, but in The Card of the Day on the Mothership today it says that Ulamog is the only titan currently known to be on Zendikar. Has it ever been explicitly stated the other two left, or just hinted at? For all we know Wizards will spoil an Emrakul spawn tomorrow and these spawn are just the ones who haven't died off yet, but they seem to be intentionally keeping things vague about whether or not Ulamog is the only titan who stayed, and I think it's interesting we've seen multiple Kozilek spawn, all of which have been underground. I think it would be a cool twist if Kozilek were still there, but I'll admit I'm probably just following red herrings.

    Yeah that's kind of what i figured. I do think it's odd though that we've seen several Kozilek spawn (including one called Herald of Kozilek) but no Emrakul spawn (as yet). I could tell Ulamog was getting imprisoned again in Hedron Network and I agree it's unlikely that Kozilek is still on Zendikar because I'm assuming Wizards will want to save him for later blocks. I also agree that Oath of the Gatewatch likely refers to watching Ulamog's prison, but I can hope Rolleyes It does make me wonder though, if Ulamog gets trapped at the end of BFZ and the other titans are elsewhere who is the antagonist in Oath of the Gatewatch? Ob?

    I've actually been enjoying the stories but I agree with you guys that they're really dragging things out. If we had more stories from the POV of random Zendakari it might make things more interesting and provide more scope and perspective to what the eldrazi are doing to Zendikar. I know we're getting a Drana story next week so hopefully that will give us a bit of that. I'm also really beginning to wonder if Kozilek is still on Zendikar, like the planeswalkers will trap Ulamog with the Hedron Network (thanks for the spoiler alert Wizards) and then Kozilek and its' brood will come out from underground to finish Zendikar off. Could the Oath of the Gatewatch be a promise to never let another world fall the same way Zendikar did? If so it would really up the ante of the eldrazi plotline, and provide interesting new directions for character development in Gideon, as he dealt with his failure, and Kiora and Nissa, as they dealt with the loss of their world.

    I think BW tokens might be interested in the new BW manland just because it gives them another threat. If they play honor of the pure over intangible virtue they can make it bolt proof, and if you're behind being able to activate a 2/3 with lifelink is a lot more useful than a Vault of the Archangel on an empty board. I don't think it really gives tokens a huge power boost but it might help against decks playing sorcery speed boardwipes.

    Ah that's a shame, thanks for clearing it up though. Maybe if we get some more playable processors it will be worth trying to throw something together.

    Hi guys, first time post so my apologies if this has already been addressed somewhere. I was really interested by the idea of using the Eldrazi processors with cards like Rest in Peace and Leyline of the Void, but I read somewhere that this interaction doesn't work because RIP and co. prevent the cards from going into the graveyard at all. Do we have a firm ruling about whether or not this interaction works? And if so do you think it's viable for modern?
