Oath of Jace/Mystic Remora seem much stronger than High Arbiter honestly. HArbiter is a 7 drop and susceptible to easy removal but Oath/Remora are cheap and hard to remove. Low cmc really metters, and in this case I believe Oath and MRemora are much stronger than Arbiter.

On Omniscience: I know it is a great card, but I am looking at it in context to Brago. Since you are not playing Enter the Infinite lab maniac or some random Eldrazi titan, I do not see the upside of playing Omniscience. Yes it allows free casts, but it costs ALOT and is a dead draw in the first 7 turns easily, and since you can't cheat it into play, to me it seems rather mediocre.

Recently, I had considered vendilion clique as she is low in cmc at three, has flash and can be used repeatedly as a way to either filter away unwanted cards or disrupt the opponent.

Another thing to consider is the Commander you will choose to naviagte the draw go deck. I am confident the best option is teferi, mage of zhalfir. I, persaonlly have experience playing Teferi as the General, so I can offer at least some food for thought and consideration.

Uncounterbale spells- They exist, and on top of that cards like boseiju, who shelters all and cavern of souls may at some point rear their faces. For good reason, spells exist that exile or bounce spells back to the opponents hand. Venser, shaper savant, summary dismissal, mindbreak trap, unsustantiate help quite often.

Hatebears- Grand abolisher is the King in this realm. They're others like him, but to me none compare to his cmc and power. Creatures like him that resolve and are protected are going to be no fun for draw go.

Hand refill-When you're playing draw-go, you really want as much instant speed card drawing power as possible. Instant speed is the best option as it allows you to refill your hand and leave mana open as well. Don't fall for the trap of sorcery speed card draw UNLESS it comes on a cheap permanent like rhystic study or mystic remora.

Now, after I said all this, again I return to general of choice. I know some others mentioned cards like vedalken orrey, and leyline of anticipation, however, I would shy away from those kinds of cards. One reason is they are high in cmc, they don't deal with that's on the board, and you need to draw AND resolve these cards as well. Honestly, I think Teferi is the only viable true draw go commander of choice. The only other one I can think of for multiplayer is Wydwen, the biting Gale. However, Teferi is monoblue, and that isn't bad at all (no matter what the naysayers think lol). Teferi also turns off the ability for other blue players to counterspell you, which is huge, however, it leaves you as the sole way to stop game winning spells from resolving.

I played Teferi with tons of counterspells, combo win, and plenty of draw power. He can definitely do the job as draw go.

Plea is cool but 6 mana is a lot though in competitive and being sorcery speed is not the best thing. Omniscience, is a great card so I am thinking do you also play academy rector? Duplicant is pretty sweet as he exiles and can nab Iona if need be, same with spine. I find more and more oath of jace to be utterly fantastic in Brago, as the filter it provides is pure gold. I play oath and mystic remora as both are awesome with Brago in order to draw as many cards as possible. The cheap ETB cantrip cards like spreading seas, stupefying touch that also offer a little disruption are equally valuable. I don't know how you feel about it but in hyper competitive games pithing needle is also stellar and can be easily tutored up by our main star trinket mage. I had some games this weekend with Brago against a fairly powerful table of maelstron wanderer, derevi, ezuri and Brago just performed so very excellently. The combo wins can come out of nowhere, which is huge. My latest addition of stoneforge mystic was epic amounts of magical goodness. Also on a side note, I don't know how many mana rocks you play but play A LOT. I stress this point many times to other Brago players, because not only is speed power in edh but also Brago untaps mana rocks which is just awesomeness incarnate.

To me, and take this as you will, it is difficult to control many players at the table. Also, you are probably not the only blue player, which makes things even more arduous. If you were the only blue player, sure you can sit there, remove what you want and cyclonic rift at leisure, but if that is happening I would say your circle of players is very casual.

The other issue is that while trying to play "draw go" you need as many 2 for one's as possible, and preferably you want permanents that control many elements in play to relieve the stress of cards in hand. Rule of Law, Humility are such examples. To control multiple things at once, you need to protect them, and that is where the art of politics comes in. Politics is going to really help sustain your draw go approach.

I will say, yes you can in fact play draw go, even at a competitive edh table. It will be challenging, since the higher the threat of game ending fast and early combo wins are possible and don't forget you're not the only one playing blue or force of will lol.

The card aerherflux reservoir and paradox engine is sick good lol! Thinking of Paradox engine, you could also have an isochron scepter with boomerang and a mana rock that produces 2 mana on it and bounce every permanent on the table back to their owner's hands since paradox engine will automatically untap isochron scepter and the mana rocks AND since the imprinted spell is count as cast, hence untapping isochron scpeter infinitely.

I recently for the fun of it revamped Brago. I have played many versions before, but this one is more unique to me, so I wanted to share what I added etc. As of now I have added 3 elements I was trying to play before, but other iterations of Brago that had been hyper focused, however, I changed that to add all 3 elements of lockdown potential, infinite combos and board control through value. I always had karmic guide, reveillark and body double, so I figured I might as well add altar of dementia as the final combo piece. Since I am playing deadeye navigator I decided to add peregrine drake back into the deck with the final addition of blue sun's zenith for another combo finisher, and of course the well know stronic resonator, 2 mana rock and reality acid combo. I also used to play the whole Staxx engine, but found out I can achieve a seemingly identical boardstate without all the Staxx pieces. How? I added brine elemental and vesuvan shapeshifter which combined create a Stasis lock, but only for your opponents, and it only requires two cards too create the lock instead of all the Staxx components that were typically required, AND the cards are good on their own which is a huge advantage. Lastly, the element of board control through typical value Brago cards like Parallax cards, the new Panharmonicon, plenty of O-Ring effects (especially the ones that can slip onto hexproof generals like Narset/Geist)is essential. Adding stoneforge mystic has helped me so much to get to lightning greaves and whispersilk cloak and slip them into play uncounterably, and the fact she is repeatable is powerful. Filtering with cheap permanents that cantrip like oath of jace, mystic remora, spreading seas are always a huge boon early to rip through the deck and offer disruption. It is in my metagame still important to play countermagic, so I still have to respect that and play Force of Will alongside generic counterspell, swan song, negate and Glen Elendra Archmage. After playing multiple games with this new version I found I love that I was able to squeeze in all the disruption, lock and combos. I have to admit having access to multiple combo wins helped tremendously in closing games at any given moment, since Brago in general is rather durdly, and relying on one combo win was too fragile. Lastly I am going to squeeze in a Time Warp for the time magic combo with archaeomancer as another win con. So, this is what's been going on with Brago on this side of the World lol.

Looking Outstanding! Closing games with Brago without Strionic Resonator or archaeomancer+time warp is slow but manageable. If this is the case, using something that generates tokens repeatedly like Elspeth, Sun's Champion is wonderful. Planeswalkers are hard to interact with, and in this case Elspeth generates 3 tokens, can be blinked for even more, and her ultimate boosts all your creatures and grants them evasion. She is also another wrath effect if need be. Venser, the Sojourner is also stellar because he has an ability that makes all your creatures unblockable, which helps close games quickly.

I don't hate playing against any commander honestly. I like the intricacy and challenge, as well as politics and nuances of gameplay. Honestly, I think my only concern ever is about power level/lack of disruption at any given table. I don't hate any strategy, all they represent is a unique match, however, that being said you do need cards that can interact. And, honestly, removal/counters/discard is vital to good matches across the board. The only real dilemma I've seen at any table is either great variation in terms of power level, and a considerable lack of disruption. At this point in my experience with Edh, the more experienced players understand that regardless of your general, deck, card selection or strategy you must have an honest amount of disruption in your respective color(s).

Interesting build! This is for more semi competitive I'm guessing? Well, even for semi conpetitive, here are some cards to consider and the reasoning behind them:

whispersilk cloak-Ideally Brago has to survive and deliver hits to make the deck function optimally. I have been playing Brago a long long long time, so I know he is often killed, locked down, etc, so having protection in the form of equipment that not only protects him but gives free hits is amazing.

stoneforge mystic-She finds lightning greves, swiftfoot boots, whispersilk cloak, and she can slip any of them into play uncounterably, and she is repeatable with Brago, simply amazing Smile

Mystical tutor or enlightened tutor- These jewels find a host of any of the powerhouses like cyclonic rift, treachery, auras, you name it.

strionic resonator-Unless you are strictly anti-combo or your playgroup is, this card is amazing, doubling etb triggers and the legendary 2 mana producing rock for infinite Brago triggers!

Parallax wave and parallax tide- Both of these cards are undeniably powerful in Brago, Repeatable removal OR save your guys from removal is stellar. Parallax tide is a better version of perengrine drake, as it can accelerate you or eat enemy lands.

stupefying touch- Cantrips, cmc 2, shuts off pesky generals and creatures. Innocuous yet precious.

tsabo's web or spreading seas- Hampering non-basic lands and cantripping for it is.....excellent, even more so if they are maze of ith, gaea's cradle.

trinket mage- He tutors up sol ring and the mighty pithing needle (which is another great cheap way to lock down a pesky card and can be reset with Brago.

reality acid-Paired with Brago it is brutal, paired with Brago and stronic resonator plus the aforementioned 2 mana producing rock is GG.

1.) Azami, Lady of Scrolls. She is just pure awesomeness. She is sweet, iconic, graceful, and elegant as the Best Combo General.

Well, I suppose it's how you build Azami. For me, I eschewed much of what I consider to be chaff. One thing I did is really cut bug mana spells, in particular extra turn effects. They are super slow, clunky in the opening hand and don't get me closer to a win. I know, many Azami decks and blue based edh decks have infinite turns etc, but it takes much too long to assemble, and the cards tend to be not so great on their own. If I am going to set up a winning play I want it to be as little required cards as possible and immediately win. So my list doesn't have extra turn effects (outside Lighthouse Chronoligist). I don't even run Palinchron, again because he is bad on his own. I run cheap wizards that filter, disrupt or affect board. The highest cmc wizzo I play are Arcanis, Beguiler of Wills and Teferi. I even considered cutting Arcanis but he is a great bomb and combos with MoMatter. The only non wizard I run is Psychosis Crawler simply because he acts as a win con with Azami/Arcanis/Jushi Apprentice and hits all players. See, once you worry about too much board control, clone effects, an abundance of control magic effects, the deck seriously gets diluted. This is part of reason I shy away from cards like Paradox Engine/Aetherflux Resovoir. I'm not some pro, or super spike or what have you lol, however I do play A LOT of Edh, and I have played SO many Azami lists and other similar generals like teferi/arcanis etc that I just have a good sense of what works for me and what doesn't. I know when playing Blue it's fun to durdle, steal creatures, bounce stuff, do cool tricks with swapping permanents, endless cloning, but at the end of the day while fun it wasn't really getting me much of anywhere, even in the dudrdly department. And, honestly I love many of the overcosted dorky wizards and had fun with them, but after awhile I wanted to win a little more, which we all know meant deck reconstruction. I really examined the deck, what I wanted it to do, my metagame, and arrived at my current build. Sure I test different things out (like Jace Vryn's Prodigy, Vedalken Shackles, the New Baral Chief of Compliance).....all blah lmao but I still tested these cards alot.

I play the same deck in the same group, so downplaying a threat is......pointless lol. I mean at times I swap out Azami for Teferi, or Rayne, Jace Vryn's Prodigy orrrrr now Baral, Chief of Compliance, but it doesn't matter. I could have Sinbad for the General and everyone would make me archenemy lol. It's ok, the real nuance has always been politics fro me. Folks know what the deck does, heck we all know what our decks DO, the question is bargaining!

Paradox Engine is cool. I don't think it is really worthy in Azami lists specifically, mostly because it seems "win more" category. However, it does have cool synergy with Azami, Patron Wizard, Sigil Tracer and Temporal Adept.

Recently I purchased a Baral, Chief of compliance for Azami, mostly because I play a lot of countermagic, much more than average lists. As a 2 drop wizard that cheapens instants/sorceries he is a nice little jewel. I haven't bought it yet, but disallow looks very promising, regardless that it is cmc 3. I didn't really consider Aetherflux Resovoir. although I used it in a casual Sydri, Galvanic Genius build to pretty good effect. In Azami, for the cmc and no affect board stigma, plus not so much synergy with the rest of the deck, I don't think it's amazing, but I sure encourage trying it out, cuz one never knows.

Azami lists vary, and the recent sets have some interesting tech for her.
