The End of an Era

Actualy, I could see them printing these a third time if they ended up putting in the sixth color. If the future of magic is another color. These cards could set up what the color is and help define it's abilities.

    Like maybe:

    Defiant Zepplin 2PP
    Creature- Ship
    Flying, PPP: Regenerate
    2/4
(Defines purple as being able to regenerate, but being the worst at it.)

    City Planner 1P
    Creature - Human Townsfolk
Tap: Draw a card, then reveal it. Discard it if it is not a land card
    1/1
(Shows purple gets limited card draw or weak landsearch)

    City Sniper 2P
    Creature- Human Archer
Tap: City Sniper deals 1 damage to target creature or player
    1/1
(Purple gets weak direct damage. By weak I don't mean not good I just mean that it would only get to ping and never get any heavy burn spells)

    City Charm P
    Instant
Choose one - Target creature gets +2/-1 until end of turn; Target creature gains citywalk until end of turn; Target player discards a card
(The first one would define purple as getting the weak creature kill. The second just helps define the land type and make it more know. And the third defines one thing that purple would be the best at; discard in instant form.)

    City Guard PP
    Creature - Human Knight
    Protection from green
Whenever ~ deals combat damage to a player, put a +1/+1 counter on it at the end of turn
    1/1
(This one mostly would set up purple's enemy, green. )

This is just one theory based on the assumption that the future for wizards is a sixth color.

Another possible future would be colorless spells. If this is the case, then we might see these five cards in colorless forms. This would make some of these cards actually playable. For instance the 2cc 2/4 flyer that takes ccc to regenerate sucks, but at 4 with 3 to regenerate, you'd see a card that's an early pick in draft and an autoinclude in sealed. The only real knock to this theory is the ridulousness a colorless piracy charm would be.

This is just my two cents.

Since we're just throwing out crazy ideas. How about not randomizing boosters. A whole set where every pack is numbered and listed out somewhere. You'll know what you'll get when you buy it. They'd still give you a random booster at tournaments of course, but everything else will be numbered so you can look up what cards are inside.

That or they're going to start putting textless cards in normal packs.
P.S. -I don't think these are the answers, but they could be so who knows.
