    Yes Sacred Mesa does slowly kill Pegasus's but on the play, you get out 1 on turn 4, then on turn 5 you make 2 more and choose to sacrifice the Mesa instead of a Pegasus, so you then achieve stall.


    I never even thought of that line of play. Derp.

    Updated my original post to include Mesa results.

    @Feyd we disagree on Nether Spirit, see my comment for Assassin (Same applies for Kiku)

    @Danxor3 we disagree on Mesa, you actually just win. Mesa doesn't keep the pegasi around.

    I don't want to be mean, but come on. This one isn't even close.
    If you don't want to score your rounds then at the very least you shouldn't blindly declare yourself the winner...

    I'm pretty sure you also lose to Mayor of Avabruck.

    2a) Mayor of Avabruck - 0-6. This one is actually complicated, and I thought Mesa did win, but Mayor eventually just has too many things that can attack with. Loses on turn 9.

    6b) Vraska the Unseen - 2-2. OTP, Mesa makes enough tokens to finish Vraska off after destroying Mesa, OTD, Vraska can kill it, and have enough loyalty left to survive the swing back.

    7b) Phyrexian Revoker - 0-6, stops Mesa

    What's with the obsession over "tribe X" commanders? Hydras aren't exactly herd animals.




    Well that made me laugh. But I do love me a good Hydra. This guy doesn't make me want to make a Hydra tribe deck (Hydra's are pretty bad at being reanimated)

    I think a "doubling season" like effect on a Hydra is what some Hydra fans want.

    The problem I have with this format is it's a LOT of upkeep/mental math. Especially if you were trying to break a draw effect(Looter Il-kor is a good find).

    I thought of Solemnity, forgot to try and break it.
    I was looking at Moment's Peace as well but figured there would be a lot of non-creature win conditions.

    tl;dr I like weird rules like this one, but the possibilities were too open, and I couldn't grok it easily enough to break it. (brings back the no mana hand!)

    A couple of questions:
    Do we start the game with the two cards in our hand, or are we actually cardless? saw the notes

    And because I'm having the dumb, do the copies work like cards, or tokens? (does Undying work?)

    Discard is already not used very much. Looking back at the last two Library hands, the Library effect came into play 0 times from what I could tell.


    It seems largely like a useless hand rule, imo.

    So my hand turned out to be pretty bad against anyone playing a real creature.
    And I was going to consider going Daze/Foil/Commandeer.
    Didn't think of Leyline of Vitality, before Shreiking, I had Meek in there then realized it was banned. That might have changed some of my lines. (at least Feyd's, probably Tom's)
