Knowledge Pool and Shared Fate are exactly the kind of thing I had in mind. Grin

The others are good as well, though I'll have to pick out some mana ramp for them, very pricey, but very powerful stuff. Any other suggestions?

Some of the stuff in that thread will be useful, thanks for that. Most of it, though, has more to do with stealing creatures or blinking things in and out, not really what I'm going for.

Stuff like Timesifter and Endless Whispers is what I'm aiming for, things that will cause chaos. Anything that changes orders, swaps creatures around, or has otherwise screwy effects on either the board, peoples' hands, or anything else that can be affected is what I'm going for.

I'd be most grateful for any help on this, the game has grown a lot since I first created this deck, I'm at a loss for what else I had used or what other things may have come out since that have similar unique effects. Thanks in advance. Smile

Been a lot of years since I've frequented this place, haven't really played much Magic in the intervening years, but I've been trying to recreate the decks I played throughout college lately just going off of the deck name list that I kept. Most of them have been pretty easy to recreate this way, like Squirrels or Blinkvoke, but a few have been pretty difficult, most of all this one. The name of the deck, Screw With Everything, gives some hints, but I haven't been able to remember most of what I used, and browsing through the cards hasn't provided any insight yet, either. So far, all I've been able to be certain of are:

Confusion in the Ranks, Timesifter, Endless Whispers, Moonring Mirror, and Donate.

The purpose of the deck wasn't really ever to win, more to just be there in a large multiplayer game screwing with everything on the field that it could. Any suggestions on other cards that fit this theme?

Join me and my robot, the Lexiabot9000, on my quest to play every Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance game ever made!*

Lexy randomly chooses a new game for me in each video, and I do my best to play them through to completion while finding out as much about them as I can. As playing entirely through every single game would be a miserable process, both for myself and the viewer, and impossible in the case of some games that don't have an actual ending, many games end up as Let's Briefly Plays, or even Let's Not Plays, depending on the length played and how good (or how crap) a particular game is.

I also take requests, so if you've got a favorite game you want to see, or a particular stinker you want me to suffer through (like how Altered Beast on GBA was a request by a certain person who loves to watch me suffer through terrible games), just let me know and I'll add them onto the list! Smile

*Some exceptions granted, such as dual release games (like the later Battle Network games), which are largely identical and merit only one game being played. Also exempt are most games which are straight ports of NES games, like the NES Classic series or the Hudson Best games, and due to overall similarities, many sports games will be deleted after one in a particular series is played, like Madden games or the like.

Hoping this is the right forum for this kind of question...

While I know there isn't an exact map of the layout of Ravnica, is it possible to piece together the info from the books, cards, and extra info and make a sort of general layout of Ravnica? Not necessarily exact locations or distances or anything, of course, but just a basic sketch of where the major important areas are, like Utvara or Novijen.

@The Ice King: One of the cards that I'm guessing Bel is referring to was a green and black viashino that had devour, unearth, and made reference to power 5 or greater. Which shard would you place that card in?

I have to mention another colorless card that saw a lot of play in Standard, and I'm fairly sure still does... Mutavault. A good portion of your argument is that "Reliquary Tower will ruin your manabase." Yet, Mutavault is just as colorless, and as far as I can tell, it didn't ruin any manabases. Does Mutavault's having an amazing ability somehow make it less likely to ruin your manabase than Reliquary Tower, with its subpar ability?

You're acting as if non-colorless decks only use colored lands, which is about as far from the truth as you can possibly be. There's tons of good colorless lands out there, why does this one upset you so much? It's not a competitively good card, but that doesn't mean it's as horrible a card as you're making it out to be. A card doesn't have to be in a top tier deck to be good, it's all in the eyes of the beholder, or the player in this case. Plenty of casual decks out there will play this card, regardless of the colors they use. Not everyone out there is building decks to win 100% of the time. The only point I will agree with you on is that it's out of place in this color heavy set, but is that really enough reason to harp on this card like you're doing? Having a colorless land isn't the downfall of the set, there's more than enough mana fixing available that this land didn't absolutely have to be colored. Enough people have spoken up already that they like the card, that's enough from R&D's standpoint that this card is not that bad, even if it doesn't please everyone out there.

M_E must be a better guesser than I am, there were a couple I saw that could fit into two different shards that didn't say which one they belonged to.

I actually made it a point when I started not to use speech balloons. With the amount of text I have, if I had to add in pointers to each character, I may as well not even make backgrounds, you wouldn't be able to see them. Give it a read through, and you'll see that each character has their own font and colors, I've always tried to give each character a unique and distinct font so that there's no confusion between characters. Another good way to see whose font is whose is to read through the Cast page (Or you can check the page on the new site by clicking the Cast button, though both of them are a bit screwy still), you'll see everyone with their proper font.

Well, it's taken a lot longer than I expected, but I'm about halfway through the new beginning for my comic. Of the 30 new comics I have (loosely) planned, 14 have been made and put up on the old site so far. It's been slow going, but school and the regular nightly updates have always come first. I'm not sure if I actually kept any readers from this site (aside from Turbo164, I never took the time to thank you for becoming a daily reader :)), so hopefully this new beginning is a step torwards attracting even more readers. I have to admit that it isn't much more action packed (see my current storyline to see my futile attempts at action), but I'm hoping that it's at least more interesting now than it was before.

    The new beginning.

Let me know what you think.

Was a decision ever reached on the "no submission = X month ban" subject?

If so when does it start?

I think it was decided that this wouldn't be put into effect, for a number of reasons. However, I'm unofficially doing it myself. I didn't submit an entry this month, so I didn't sign up for next month. I think it's a fairly good policy, it'd just be hard to enforce it.

Um, wow. Esperzoa is a Sea Drake in the right deck. A 4/3 FLYING for 3 mana!? That can't be right. There has to be a sacrifice clause in there...

Well, if you're unlucky enough to have no other artifacts in play with it, it forces you to bounce itself back to your hand, so that may as well be a sacrifice clause.

Woo, finally found it. Had to go back almost 100 pages to do so...

The Bender card brought up here was actually created as a response to this card, which ended up being MajoraX's September Round 1 card. His judge apparently had no problems with the fact that it was human tribal. (And apparently, that's why I remembered it so well... I was in a group with him.)
