Quote from DrFlashbang »What would good sideboard options against Tron be? Right now I have ghost quarter, crumble to dust, and a thoughtseize.
Surgical Extraction wouldn't be a bad one either, if you are not already running mainboard Blood Moon, then I would recommend having 2 in sideboard. Aside from that I think you're pretty much set . Ghost Quarter is strong and Crumble to Dust really messes them up.

This used to also be a more relevant card back when Splinter Twin was around and Electrolyze was more played. Having Thalia and Wisp blown up felt so bad. It's come in pretty clutch with Linvala and Brimaz before as well.

It would help if you pointed out exactly what is "outdated".

For: He's a one-drop that helps you curve out smoothely, he provides permission and tempo-gain on a synergistic body where we otherwise lack interaction, and his absence from the battlefield with a vial on one can even still net tempo.
IMO, 3 has felt best and anything less is a meta call. But *shrug*

I think an important part of playing the deck is recognizing when being conservative with your life is necessary. I avoid life loss when I have delve hands as much as possible until I have access to DS, and instead play as if I'm Blue Jund until I can then the corner. Some games against aggressive strategies this is irrelevant, but it at least buys you a couple turns to draw into what you need.
That singleton Opt looks out of place. I'd consider swapping a Kom for a second. It'll help with the consistency of your deck. You could also just keep the Kom and swap the land back in for Opt. The SB looks pretty good.

Also, all this which is better stuff is ridiculous. Stop theory crafting and play the game. Everyone keeps attributing the success of UG to the meta, but the success of all decks is relative to the context of the meta at that point in time. Mono blue went through a period where it was (falsely) not considered competitive because of the meta, and we all know that was B.S., so why attack a variant of our own deck that puts up numbers?
Figuring out the trade-offs with respect to the meta is the more constructive discussion. Magic is a game with a strong community, so play what you know, play what you like, and collab with others to make it competitive while maintaining the fun of the game.

Great job. It might be worth noting on here that you can remand your own spell back to your hand in response to mana leak or snare to make it fizzle while drawing a card. And also declaring adept as a blocker, snagging, and vialing for another draw.

Celestial Purge is pretty legit. It hits most creatures that are problematic for us, and also takes out Lilly and Nahiri. Journey to nowhere is pretty good too, but it can get answered by cards that incidentally are played against us.
Also, I usually remove vials against fast decks like affinity where they are too slow and I rather have early interaction. There is no point in cheating on mana if you're dead

As some of you may remember, I usually run Mono-White because I like it's consistency and resiliency.

I've been been back and forth trying to decide between 2x Brimaz and 1x Aven Mindcensor, or 2x Thalia 2.0 and 1x Brimaz. Ultimately I decided on Brimaz and Aven since Thalia's benefits always seem marginal - she delays the opponent for a turn at best if she doesn't get removed, and some people just ignore her all together (I would probably run her in WG though since you can ramp into her turn 2). My only beef with Brimaz is that he leaves no value the turn he comes in, so he's usually the first cut depending on the match-up. I run maindeck Linvala since she can turn off problematic abilities, and dodges bolt and decay. It's worked well for me for awhile now, and I like having the extra slot in the SB. Selfless Spirit has been great, but I cut 1 to fit in a Skite because it can be a major roadblock for a lot of decks game 1.
