    I think BloodyRabitt and the others talk about other sweepers because O-stone also kills Karn and you'd need 1 turn before using it to put a counter. Against several creatures this means Karn is dead. Also, although reusable and tutorable, O-stone is usually slower than things like pyroclasm in aggro matchups.

    FNM report

    After reading yesterday posts I decided to try something new this week, so I did some changes to my list like dropping angel (lately it has underworked), adding batterskull instead of 2nd wurmcoil and adding 2 TKS to the main. Also I'm not using walking ballista, I owned one long ago but never came to like it; nowadays I want to give it another chance, but I'm waiting for it to leave standard and be cheaper. Another particularity is that I use Nimble obstructionist MB because he can counter GQs and Tec-edges when you go agaisnt decks that use only one or few and also because it provides a way of countering PW abilities, surviving Emrakul for 1 turn and killing Death shadow decks when they drop to less life than they should against us. Now I can't post my list. Maybe I'll do it later.

    R1 Boros burn 2-1

    G1 I survive till turn 4 and land a chalice on 1 I just drew, after that I land batterskull and end up winning
    G2 He has a very fast hand and I can't stabilize in time
    G3 Survive until T4 and cast TKS, I remove an eidolon from his hand (he had 2 in that moment). So next turn I only have to deal with one eidolon (2 would have made countermagic very hard) and get a body perfect for avoiding being attacked by his 3-4 creatures. Later I land batterskull and wurmcoil and win. I have 0 doubts that without TKS I would've lost this game. Hand disruption is good, but because he's a 4/4 and not 0/4 like spellskite he's a wall who can kill the things he blocks. So if the opponent calculates that full attacking until he runs out of creatures would not kill you, he stops doing that because you would be left to 1-3 life with TKS in field and counters in hand ready to counter any lightning-like effect (also you could start dropping more threats).

    R2 UWR control 2-0

    G1 I try to land a treasure mage un turn 6 only for creating a clock and end up baiting a path to exile. Turns later I do the same with TKS and I make him waste 2 counters. Later he has a vendilion and a snapcaster and I'm at 8 life, so 2 turns left. I decide to risk and cast mindslaver while holding enough mana for activating it and using one counter. It seems he only had one counter, so I'm able to break mindslaver and in his turn I make him waste supreme verdict and path to exile while killing his creatures. Now that he can't counter me I land fabricate and sundering titan and win.
    G2 I get more mana than my opponent by turn 5-6, so I try to land a batterskull as bait for his counterspells while holding ruins in hand: he counters and I try to remand batter, so he spends another counter (-2 counterspells lured out). A bit later I cast TKS to whom he tries to counter with cryptic and I dispel it. After looking his hand I see that he has 3 planeswalkers (1 Ajani and 2 Nahiri) so I exile ajani. Next turn he drops nahiri, and after that I land sundering titan without worries (also while holding countermagic in case he drew something) and kill half his manabase. I repeal Nahiri (he cannot cast it now because he has 3 lands) and 2-3 turns later I win.

    R3 Aura-hexproof 2-0

    G1 he has bad hand and ends with a hand with 2 spiritdancers and no hexproof. I manage to reach turn 4 and then I land TKS and exile a 1 CMC aura leaving a lone coronet in his hand (and no auras in field). After that I reach the mana to land my fatties.

    G2 I have almost natural tron: 2 tron lands, ugin and island. turn 3 I cast a TfK in his EoT and end drawing the tronland I needed, after that Ugin lands and game ends.

    R4 Humans 0-2

    I don't remember much about both games, just that I took 7 cards from SB with the purpose of killing/slowing creatures and took out most counters. But I had bad luck and never drew TKS or batterskull, which could've given slight chances.

    After testing with some friends, I'll use the deck for the first time in FNM this week. Meta is expected to be more balanced than the 52% aggro that MTG top 8 displays. List:

    I have ordered a vendilion clique, and I'll play it if it arrives in time. I also want to get secure the wastes since it looks like a good defense or finisher depending on situation.
    Story circle replaces runed halo since its price is artificially increased, so if it goes down a bit I'll buy it.
    JtMS is too expensive at the moment, maybe I'll buy him when he goes to 60-65 euros.

    Do you have any advice you can give me?
    Also, I have been thinking but I couldn't get an accurate answer: how are Eldrazi aggro and auras for us?

    I ordered last week my second snapcaster and a few cheap cards I lacked to complete the deck.
    Now with this unban I need to spend a lot of money to make the deck work properly in FNMs.

    I think Jace maybe is not suited for our deck. when we can cast him it's highly probable that the opponent has 3 creatures or more, so jace would be killed right at the spot only using his abilities once.

    A few questions:
    How do you use ballista? I tried it some time ago but didn't work for me, maybe I did the wrong approach.
    Do you cast it early for 2-4 mana or wait until late to cast it for 10 or more?
    In which situations you consider tapping to cast it?
    Do you use it as a threat at the moment or use it to slow down opponent by killing his creatures?

    I have been running nimble obstructionist as a 1 of almost since it was released.
    So far it works well against land destruction, many valakut deck-based spells, it can let you survive Emrakul for one turn (I did), kills 3 toughtness creatures, when beating the opponent with wurmcoil or platinum angel, he speeds up the clock and if you don't need him, you cycle him as if he was a think twice flashback.

    It can also counter fetches, enter the battlefield triggers, dredge "put in graveyard triggers" and it can counter storm (however, if they flashback a storm spell after that you're dead), and many things I cannot remember right now.

    Maybe it's because my local meta is more balanced than the meta of tournaments (+-50% aggro) so I use him with success.
    He's not bad, maybe some metas aren't good for him, but in metas with combo and control he's very good.

    Hi, I'm new to the deck; I have all the main but 7-8 cards that I plan to buy this week.
    Can someone give me hints about what are our worst matchups to know what to include in SB?
    current proto-SB:
    1 dispel
    1 echoing truth
    1 Teferi, mage of Zhalfir
    1 Story circle
    1 Rest in peace
    1 Stony silence
    1 Nevermore
    1 Wall of denial
    I have planned to include in the future 1 condemn, 1 meddling mage, 1 supreme verdict, 1 spell queller, 1 bribery, 1 timely reinforcements and maybe 1 runed halo.

    Local meta is more or less balanced between control and aggro and some combo. Aggro includes: Death and taxes, humans, merfolk, death shadow and eldrazi. Control includes other UW control, U tron and others. Combo: RG breach, storm, dredge, ...

    Guys, what do you do against dredge?
    Lately Dredge has appeared in my FNM meta, and I had never faced them until recently; so I'm a bit clueless about which playing and SB strategy to follow.
    In my SB I have tormod, relic and surgical which seem useful here,
    I got an unlucky game today after stablishing a Tormod-academy ruins loop and exiling graveyard ance every 1-2 turns because if I left something, they could start dredging and fill the board with creatures, eventually, a bloodghast and a narcomoeba passed through it and started clocking. Do you think I did well, or should I had used tormod only once?

    Also, spatial and dismember feel useless here, but bouncers like repeal, cyclonic overloaded or aetherize also seem useless. So I welcome any SBing hints.

    @fecikop Although Gx Tron dissappeared from my meta a year ago, before that I used chalice on 1, pithing needle map, expedition map always to search quarter (except when you think you can get tron faster than them), surgical to their destroyed tron land,...

    You need to do your best to keep them from assembling tron, even if you also can't assemble it. We have a lot of dig, but they haven't; so early try to counter their search spells and use SB cards if its 2nd or 3rd game.

    If they get Tron, there is still hope if you can find a quarter/tectonic before they start casting creatures with cast triggers.

    @dmflo, I think the same, I tried ballista for a few weeks and I didnt like it.

    My reasons are, as you said when your cast it without Tron (mainly by 4 manas), you can kill one creature X/2 or 2 X/1 and then it dies.
    Refueling her is not cheap, even with Tron you will have problems. So your need 8 manas to kill something like leonin, 12 to kill a nacatl, 16 to kill celestial colonnade,...

    Even if you cast her with Tron online, you can only give her 4 counters most of the time as your said.

    It is good in long matches, but we already have things that help us with long games without having to spend mana without stop.
