    War Martyr - eh, I'd bump up that cost some. Thinking RR maybe. 2Reels slightly too much, much less 1RR .

    Rainbow Warrior - perfectly fine, but i can't help feeling it's a bit lopsided towards White abilities. 4 are White, 2 are Blue, 2 are Black, just 1 is red, and 3 are green. Not a bit deal, really! Just something that struck me.

    Burn-Season Charge RG
    Sorcery
    Target creature you control gains double strike and trample until end of turn. It deals combat damage equal to its toughness instead of their power this turn. Sacrifice that creatures at the beginning of the next end step.

    Might need some retemplating? Want to think on the name too - the flavor is a Treefolk setting itself on fire for one last charge, so...

    Uh, as far as I can tell, this should be... two untap phases? Hmm. I think this card would be more fun if, say, you were to say have additional untap and upkeep phases right after the initial upkeep phase. Same for the Relentless Assault effect, too - additional combat phase and post-combat main phase after the initsl combat phase. I'm not sure the ending phase clause works, either. YYMV.

    Creature - Treefolk Warrior
    Deathtouch
    When Muck-Coated Mangrove dies, you may pay U/B mana . If you do, scry 2 then reveal the top card of your library. If it is an Island or Swamp card, put it onto the battlefield tapped. Otherwise, put it into your graveyard.

    Still want to do Scry 3 but eh. This die trigger is inteded to be on multiple creature cards - thinking at least 2 dozen amongst all colors (and basic land types). Ought I go ahead and make it 3?

    Hmm, Vigilance, maybe. Not feeling it ETBing untapped, because I think that'd increase the CC a bit maybe. Forest, though... Actually, yeah, that's a good idea. Treefolk get forests regardless of color, other creatures get other land types. That works!

    Pretty good, but a little unexciting at that CC. Suggest making it 1 cheaper and a 2/2, perhaps 2/3 or 3/2.

    1R , Sacrifice Smoldering Pine: Smoldering Pine deals damage equal to its defense to target creature or player.
    When Smoldering Pine dies, reveal the top four cards of your library. Put a forest card revealed this way onto the battlefield tapped and the rest into your graveyard.

    I dig it! I like the costs as is, but probably WotC would make them 2R and 2B respectively. Also, unfortunately, Death is already taken, by Life//Death in Apocalypse.

    U, tap symbol , Discard a blue instant or sorcery card from your hand, Exile 2 artifact cards from your graveyard: Exile target non-token creature. Return it to tbe battlefield under its owner's control at the beginning of the next end step, tapped.

    Land
    tap symbol , Exile a land card from your graveyard: Add G to your mana pool.
    1G, tap symbol , Discard a green instant or sorcery card, Exile X land cards from your graveyard: Choose target creature with counters on it. Put X counters on that creature of a type already there.

    And while Gremlins might be cool, I hope they aren't our small red creatures for this block. As I prefer my red menaces to be goblins. Grin


    I hope they are. Goblins are so boring, it'd be nice to go another year without them.

    edit: I should say "six months" I guess, but I'll stick with "a year" or even "forever".

    Also, this Vedalken dude doesn't read Red at all. Remember the debate over that Conspiracy planeswalker? (edit: Kaya) Same thing.

    That's probably a bit too much text to fit on a single card. I'd bump it up to 3BB, possibly, and drop that last ability. I don't know, I wish I had more to say. Maybe I can encourage the next poster to offer more insight.

    Your permanents can help cast this spell. Each permanent you tap while casting this spell pays for 1 or one mana of that permanent's color.
    Escalate 3
    Choose one or more. You may choose the same mode more than once.
    - Exile target permanent.
    - Search your library for a permanent card and put it onto the battlefield. Shuffle your library.
    - Return target permaneent card from your graveyard to the battlefield.

    I wouldn't normally bother with denoting rarity as I consider that silly, but in this case? Yeah, Mythic Rare is what's called for. By the way, again, if the next commenter could offer better insight on the Liliana card in the previous post, that would be nice!

    I rather think that if we go back to Innistrad for a third time, the plot will center around the reemergence of the WB Angel. We've seen one of her Flight in SoI, after all.

    Neat!

    I'm reminded of how AVR was the set that gave us Soulbond. Seems rather ffitting that a mechanic like this would be introduced with an Innistrad return.
