    Re: color identity of my card. I did think about making it part-U, but a friend said that it worked fine as RW. Incidentally, one of the reasons it's in those colors is that the effect also covers Auras, which are definitely a White thing.

    Anyway, your card. Might have to write Wither out if it's not a mechanic in the block you put it in. Love the idea, even if WotC would never want to print it, haha. Might actually work fine as Mono-B for the record. Wuld definitely shave off a mana or two on both the mana and equip costs.

    Hmm, how about something quirky...

    "Invite" not "invites"

    I'd push it a bit and make it cost only B or make it a 4/4. Seems pretty fair as is, though.

    Dang, I was really hoping for a cool Escalate Green card.

    No Green Meld, Madness (so far), or Escalate. At least Green got plenty of Investigate in SoI so it wasn't completely relegated to dull mechanics.

    I'm reminded of how AVR was the set that gave us Soulbond. Seems rather ffitting that a mechanic like this would be introduced with an Innistrad return.

    Random thought, probably won't happen but here goes:

    Ok, so right now Sorin is off Brooding because he had to kill Avacyn or whatever. But obviously, he doesn't want his home destroyed which is exactly what Nahiri/Emmy are trying to do. So what if Sorin was to make a "new Avacyn", say "Avacyn, Guardian of Innistrad" to combat the Eldrazi menace? Would WOTC Ever even consider giving us 2 Avacyn's in a block?

    Also, what walker do you guys think might die this go round? My gut tells me Nahiri, since they have to stop her and Emmy, but I'm kinda hoping it's Jace.


    Actually, wasn't there a plot thread with Olivia Voldaren? Also, he does still have to settle things with Nahiri, right?

    Personally, I can see something like this but, consider this: two effects that complement each other. One effect would fit in the ally colors in the middle and the other one would fit the enemy colors on the outside. Ally-ally and enemy-enemy wouldn't look as nice.

    So, uh.

    Why that extra "cost"? The effect seems decent enough for CC.

    Anyhow:

    - BRGW
    Legendary Creature - Avatar
    Whenever a player casts a spell on another player's turn, you may destroy target permanent that player controls unless they have - deal 3 damage to them.
    Damage dealt by - to players also gains you twice that much life.

    Changed to 3 damage after some thought. Before anybody suggests just giving this Lifelink instead of that second ability, consider those two things - (a) wouldn't it feel a little underwhelming and (b) this way, the controller can gain some life, overall.

    Edit: changed pt to 5/5 to stay in line with other cards I've done.

    One thing that struck me is that Planeswalker tokens would be right out. Too complicated, for one.

    Land tokens have already been considered. Try the search function.

    Yeah, that was one main consideration with regard to land tokens. Could even get a block keyword or two out of that. Cultivate or something.

    ... non-creature tokens? Namely, how much can realistically be done with those?

    The first one I can think of, ATM, is Imperial Mask from Future Sight. Then, we have Gold tokens from Theros block, and now Clue tokens. With the first, those were enchantments that gave their controller Hexproof. With the latter two, they're artifact tokens that can be sacrificed.

    So, it strikes me that it's probably not too desireable to have tokens of any permanent type that can be tapped for effects (usually mana). There is, of course, precedent in Life and Limb and Llanowar Mentorbut those are from 2007 and were in sets that played around sith unusual effects a bit more.

    So, thoughts? Do, for example, land tokens seem reasonable?

    Seems reasonable at that cost. Boring to me personally, but a humdinger of a rattlesnake, for certain! Would make it a 2/2 or a 1/3, though. Also, Plant and not treefolk.

    Fun, and I do see the point of making it Aura Equipment, but I'm not sure it works all that well. I'm not sure this needs ro be three colors or to cost 7 mana, at that. Making it mono-white and costing it at something like 3 or 3 mana seems reasonable. An equip cost of three mana is about right, though. Equipment can only go on creatures you control, if you pay the equip cost so, hmm.
