    I’ve been thinking we needed a card like this for a while! I’d probably bump up the cost, though, and move the exile text into the modes because that’s what WotC does for clarity.

    The change does contribute significantly to making it morr balanced, though!

    by the way I’d suggest looking at Makeshift Mannequin’s text for ideas on templating.


    One other thing I’d suggest is to consider the flavor. This card doesn’t really strike me as an elemental avatar exactly. I want to suggest something like a dude who has hidden caches everywhere. Don’t need to consider it, just wanted to throw my idea out there!

    WotC considers dual taplands weak enough that they allow some upside, but on the other hand, yeah MDFC is probably more upside than they'd like.

    Probably something like:

    Truly wish I could come up with a location that felt right. I liked the Zendikar Rising name convention for the MDFC land cards. I'm not comfortable making up names, though. Probably let's say the land backside represents some kind of wide flat open space where people feel their spirits begin to well up... oh, hmm. Spirit Upwelling and... ah, no. I'll think of something eventually, maybe.

    As an additional cost to cast this spell, discard X cards.
    Copy target spell with mana value 2 or less X times. You may choose new targets for each of those copies.

    Personally I'd switch some of those abilities up - I find it boring that Green gives Trample, for example - but otherwise the idea is sound. I'd drop the cost by 1 or G.

    Edit: definitely G, actually. This card wants to be splashable!

    I'd disagree with that. It turned the rakdos strategy far too much from Aggro to grindy mid-range. Treasure would be more appropriate if you were looking for payoff.


    I like the idea but I feel like this effect is complex enough as is for a mechanic without adding a die trigger. Accordingly, I think it'd be great as a separate card that can entertain, then produce Treasure tokens whenever Audiences die.
