Here is my current list, it has performed really well but ow that DTK has been released, I'm getting slammed by more board wipes. UW control, Jeskai, Esper, and straight UB just destroy me, and dont get me started on the sb work that needs to be done to handle rabble red. But i absolutely love this deck, some of the out of no where combo wins ive gotten are stupid fun to pull off...
Maybe there are some cards I can add to it form DTK or other parts of standard that I'm missing in order to combat the weakenesses to extremely fast aggro, and to the monster that is control.
rules question involving this deck and interactions... if i flip a card, and i have a raptor in yard, and a mastery on the table, can i stack it so i get raptor back, and then gain life for having him as a creature?
Now I know many of you will say, wtf Pickle, youve been here for a while, you were once a mod, how do you not understand the standard rotation? And to that I have to say, if WOTC quits changing things, I will ocntinue to understand, but I always have trouble wrapping my head around the new stuff. Damage on the stack took me 1 year to understand that it was gone. I miss my mogg fanatics and sakura tribe elders.
Anyways I think my question is quick, though it may be in the wrong place.
When DTK comes into standard, does theros block rotate out? I'm confused because I thought DTK and KTK were standalones or something?
I understand M15 will rotate out once Magic origins becomes legal? at that point does theros rotate out?
I'm just trying to figure out how long certain decks can be playable, etc. I like the current bit of standard, and have been playing a deck reliant on devotion, so if that is leaving soon, I'll need to plan differently.
Am I missing something, or is Elemental just not that good outside of (conditional) protection and extreme blueness? Maybe it's the megamorph bringing it down in my eyes.
Yes you are missing the fact that is a morphling. No you cant make it fly, but you wont need to.
Also I believe the reason the command isnt costed 4, is because of Sultai being a thing. Ramping into this t4 is good, ramping into this t3 would be bonkers (though its still possible with t1 mystic, t2 caryatid, t3 hitting your third land untapped and able to produce U or B).
Shaman is a 4/3 and attacks, and is blocked by a 3/3. both creatures are dealt 3 damage, and 1 damage is dealt to the opponent. Does Shaman die before it's ability, or does this work like lifelink (where if i deal life link damage in the same step i die, I gain the life and dont die)
can i get some advice on this build? I've been playing with it for a while, and idk it wins probably 50% of games but I feel i could do better. Especially post side. I never know what i want to take out, even when i do have an idea what to put in.
I'm not really a fan of taking out villainous wealth, as i love mill and killing people that way is fun, however I'm also pretty sure the deck can function without it, and without it, I may be able to cut black as well, meaning the deck could be better focused as a whole. I would want/need another I win card, that most likely has x in the cost, or hydra broodmaster. I guess the answer is probably craters claws though.
I think that you definitely want oracle of mul daya and courser of kruphix. knowing that top card can be very helpful in determining if you wnt to activate Tasigur. The card represents a threat in this deck, because the whole table knows that you could get that card in hand and use it if you asked the right opponent. Representing a threat without being one is exactly what this deck seems like it wants to do.
For some reason I want to play Marang-River Prowler here too, because it seems like an alternate wincon for you, as you can push some damage around the board and/or pump it.

I have a shaman of the great hunt on the battlefield, and it somehow has trample... Lets say I have a nylea, god of the hunt in play.

That helps me read and look at the cards you listed. I'll test it out and see what is lacking.
Initial thoughts are that it is too slow. You may want to look at some mardu cards from ktk and frf.
Also you probably want to play the cards that can be played from exile, Torrent Elemental, and Misthollow Griffin

Yes.
