Please dont create scenarios for cards, because even Squire is OP then.
Most of the times I played Snuffout it either would kill a creature with power < 4, it was overcosted/unplayable at CC4 or it didnt help at all, because I still lost due to the lifeloss. 4 life is 20% life total. In my Tier1 there is too much pressure for that.
This is a great card in constructed, but bad in (my) limited meta.

aren't using tier in the magic sense but more in the non-mtg advancement way
Yeah Snuff Out is insane. Free spells are just dumb. Best spell possible for aggro black. Being able to make a turn 4 play and attack with your 2 and 3 drops is just amazing tempo.
Probably ok in black aggro, I dont support that archetype, because I think its pretty weak overall (compared to control or sac/gytheme / other colors).
I used to run it and it was awful in my configurations.
Cultivate ist much better than Overgrowth, because it fixes color, draws you a card (land) and thins your library. The Arbor Elf synergy is cute, but unreliable and often not needed.
Manaelves>Utopia Sprawl>Wild Growth
I dont like Snuff Out at all. 4 life to kill a creature is insane, especially in black, it cant even hit black creatures. There a tons of better options, usually you should have the mana for Terror. And you dont want to pay CC4 on that either.
Blastoderm is the strongest card in pauper cube except MAYBE guardian of the guildpact. It's simply not a fair card. How can you honestly put it anywhere but #1
I think its way better than Guardian. Guardian is a really slow clock.
Like your discussion guys ;D
I still kinda like Rogue Elephant and Tiger, though. But with the printing of Swordwise Centaur it just happen to be better not to sac your land and still have 3+2-power on turn 2. But as you can see, I still run a stompy-configuration.
Sorry about the rant, I'll end it here. But power rankings like this lose a lot of their credibility if 80% of the thread are just discussions like this. I suggest everyone go back to the actual ranking without discussing about it.
Actually, youre a little bit late to the party, the discussion is already done and you reopened it Btw I completely disagree with your opinion, because it absolutely depends on the metagame your creating.
I mixed it with the sacrifice archetype in black. There are some more Populate cards , which are fine. In red Raid Bombardment is nice. Check my Tier2 cube
I think Specter is a fine card. I wouldnt consider to cut it anytime soon. 2/1 is evasion is solid and you can have enough discard to make its discard useful.
well, its just a semi-removal. It can still use its abilities, is weak to bounce, colorprotection and disenchant effects. Although, I must admit its rarely an issue. Anyway I still think, that counters are better.
Your argueing about the Wormfangs drawback, while completely ignoring Stitched ones. Whats more likely to happen. An untapped opponent on Turn3 or an empty graveyard? Anyway, I wouldnt consider any of them Top20

I dont understand that sentence

Blastoderm reads 2GG: Deal 15 dmg

Personally I think its fine to discuss some choices here and the results can already be found here: http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/the-cube-forum/pauper-peasant-discussion/561752-2014-pauper-power-rankings-results-thread
Other cards
Centaur's Herald, Scatter the Seeds, Fists of Ironwood, Flurry of Horns, Kuldotha Ringleader, Loxodon Partisan
But, what color to rate next? Black I guess?
Another (better) creature than the Drakes: Prescient Chimera
