I have a problem with the "They are new design. (they are new cards, not a retread/slight tweak of an older cycle)" clause. What about all those future shifted lands in future sight? Whenever I feel like clearing my trade binder, I look at tarmogoyf and those lands (other than the morning/eventide lands) and keep them in, knowing that wizard has promised to reprint them (maybe not promised exactly). Would printing them in a core set not be making good on that promise? Grove of the Burnwillows and Nimbus Maze fit all other conditions. Horizon Canopy doesn't fit the life loss requirement and River of Tears isn't symmetrical.
Longtime lurker, no need to pay attention to my musings.
Tap two lands and devoted for 2G, play quillspike
untap devoted -> tap to add G -> remove counter -> repeat
Tap devoted for G, use the 3rd land for black -> rites
My bad, Aura cards do contain an instance of "aura" in their text. That means there will be THIRTEEN cards in Planar Chaos that are auras, or give effects to auras. We can't judge this card without knowing the others. There could be a buried alive variant (plane shifted white?) that would give alot of power to this card.
Aura shows up 13 times in the orb. So -1 from this card, that would make 6 auras being printed in Planar Chaos. Potentially, if those have some good sacrificing effects, I could see this being played. Unfortionately, the orb doesn't have any occurences with cycling, so there isn't that many good ways of filling up your graveyard. CIP and Sacrificing auras would work decently, but it definitely wouldn't be the premise of the deck.
I run four putrefys so that I have a good chance to have one or two in my opening hand, to deal with bigger creatures.
Also, Gaea's Blessing is a bad idea in a dredge deck. You want a quick win, not to outlast your opponent. Don't worry about decking out. If you can't kill your opponent before decking out, then you're not likely to win anyway.
Moonlight Bargain is a waste of a card. The only control you're running is creature control, and you rarely ever want to wait til EOT to play spells.
Shambling Shell, not a big fan of. Besides moldervine, darkblast, and life, I only use dredge cards if they serve a purpose. Golgari Thug can get your non-dredgable creatures, Grave-Shell is a repeating 4/4 beater that can come back easily, stinkweed accelerates my dredge count. I don't like Shambling Shell, because he seems to me to waste my dredge option for the turn.
Nightmare Void is probably a useful card, I'll find a place in my sideboard for it, good call on that.
Reclaim, is probably not something you want to run, especially at four. I'd rather kill their creatures, or bolster my own.
Round 1: Zoo
First game, I pop a couple of martyrs to put me up high, proclaim some, and knock off his watchwolves until I get my combo out.
Second game, I get a 3rd turn martyr of ashes, wipe his board, proclaim it back along with a soul warden, and throw out enduring renewal. Everytime he gets a creature out, I wipe the field and play my martyr again.
Round 2: BWU Control.
Ugh, first game, my first martyr gets trick binded, I get persecuted, getting rid of two of my proclamations, and I get locked by Zur's Wierding while I get beat down by some flyers.
Second game, to my relief, my martyr doesn't get countered, and I get my life total to 32. Once my life total starts to get down, my opponent plays zur's again, I wrath the field, and proclaim martyr back to lock him with his own card.
Third, I pretty much get too much life for my opponent to deal with, and he dies to his own phyrexian arena and morii.
Round 3: Evil Boros (I think that's the term, Boros + black)
First game, I pretty much keep control of his field, with martyr of ash and wrath, until I get my combo out.
Second game, it looks good to start with, me getting my life total to around 40 by the time he has any consistent force, but he sideboarded in a rain of gore, which I forgot to side in anything to deal with. I go down in a couple of turns.
Third game, I side in two disenchants for a child and a soul warden, never have to use them as I get my combo off before going below 10.
I don't remember much of the fourth round, but I have to concede as my ride had to go home early.

When ~ comes into play draw a card and the begining of your next upkeep if ~ is still in play.
When ~ comes into play, each player sacrifices a creature or discards a card.

I really like the mirrodin set you have, with the imprinted cards, as well as the Ravnica with mixed guild abilities (although, I don't think Radiance belongs on an activated ability)
I never liked kamigawa to begin with, so I'll just leave those comments to myself
