I cant for the life of me get the paste deck tool to work. Its in the right format with with the .dec ext but everytime I click work with it, the card list box pops up, I click close, then nothing happens

Would not recommend in any way use the Apprentice, because nothing is intuitive, and has several errors compatibility with Windows XP operating system or higher.
Use Magic Workstation ... just download, install (link below EasyInstall MWS) and play ...
To simply put images (same site) to download images from the pack edition, unpack it and put in the "Pics" folder.

I wouldn't pay for MWS as it is. Half the features either don't work, don't work right, or are broken. Right now, I can't even get a deck that was made with MWS to load into an actual game or playtest. It's an insult that they still take money. It certainly isn't earned.
I guess I'll have to try the EasyInstall and do the beta version because my current one doesn't work anymore.

In MWS it works differently ... cards placed on the sideboard are counted for the validation of the deck (like say the Magic rules, which are used or 0 or 15 cards) ... put an extra card (no function) the sideboard implies losing a slot ... or else to have more than 15 cards, and make the invalid deck for tournaments ...
Create Tokens is possible but there is no database for them in MWS. Thus, for users of the MWS, the best solution was to make these cards actually having two faces on "dual" (split) cards (like Fire / Ice) ...

hi, i run drafts.in, which lets people download decks in .mwdeck format. i was wondering if you could change the names of split cards from eg 'fire/ice' to 'fire // ice'? this is how gatherer and cockatrice display the name. also if you could split up flip cards like 'garruk relentless/garruk, the veil-cursed', into two separate cards, that would also rock
You could not change the name of the cards (in MWS) replacing the symbol "/" to "/ /" as the second symbol of "bar" would be part of the name of the second card
When the flip cards in two separate single (and separate) cards, become incoherent editing in relation to their total number of cards. Insso would impact on other users that use functions to generate sealed deck plus change in calculations regarding generate booster draft (in the near future) ...
Moreover, if a card is separate flip would force me to separate them ALL the entire database, to make it even ...
Anyway, I think its very important contribution, but unfortunately the current state of development of MWS can not effect these changes ...

2 - If you are adding custom in a master database you're doing it wrong data. Custom editions are:
a) be in a totally separate master database (if you want to work with master bases) . For these cases the EasyInstall also includes an executable (extra) that changes from one game to another in a simple and effective way ...
b ) is there a way to work with on MWS custom bases, maybe you should check this before you criticize
3 - We are not interested in requiring the use of MWS EasInstall , we are only quoting that for anyone who does not want to work with the installation and upgrade of MAGIC with each new edition ... the MWS EasyInstall totally fulfills the function that proposes (and this audience represents more than 80% of users MWS).
4 - The MWS EasyInstall a project is open , anyone can give ideas to improve it ... be friendly and explain what you need and we study a way to implement
5 - You clearly this is confusing what MWS EasyInstall (Project Site MTGBr) with what is MTG Salvation ... so try to understand that websites are no dependency between them and totally different ...
I have to fix Dragon's Maze however, as I wasn't aware of the new land distribution in the packs. Since this is completely new, I'll actually have to do a bit of coding for the next update, but it shouldn't take me very long. Also, I hope to add Modern Masters and the previous Masters Editions 1-4 in the next patch.

Then try to open the deck you created ...
