How have you guys been liking Young Pyromancer? I'm tried running a couple so far and it seems to work well. I feel like Cryptic Serpent gives UR Delver a stronger midgame threat that dodges most removal, which makes going into a more tempo style build rather than aggro seem to have more potential. Thoughts?
Additonally, here's my current decklist. The creature base is what I'm most uncertain about:
I've been on the cliche Grim Flayer build for a while, but for those of you on Dark Confidant what do you think of it? Is it working better for you than Grim Flayer? I've been thinking of trying something like this:
My main concern is the speed of the deck making Dark Confidant too much of a liability. I love the pure and consistent card advantage he provides though.

Just sleeved this deck up. I've been on Jund / Abzan for a long time and have been searching for a good URx deck to play with my old Twin stuff. Wasn't a fan of Delver or Grixis Control, but I think this deck has real legs. I also figured that a playset of Scalding Tarns would be a better use of my $200 than Mishra's Baubles
Affinity isn't too big around here (maybe 2 guys out of 30-40 play it regularly), but what are some artifact hate spells you guys are running? I have thought about splashing W for Stony Silence but I've heard mixed things about doing that. In terms of my main deck, I've considered cutting to 2 Stubborn Denials but when it's good it's REALLY good.
Hey guys, I'm switching from Jund to Junk from the time being. It seems to be the better of the two GBx brothers as of now. Here is my current decklist - any thoughts?
I'm moving to the Cleveland area next year to attend medical school. I primarily play modern. How is the Magic scene here and are there any good stores to play modern in? Thanks.
I'm originally from Portland, OR which has an amazing Magic scene. Modern is especially popular here, beating out Standard's turnout in almost every store.
I am building a Jund deck somewhat on a budget. I use the word budget because I am planning on running all the staples, but some of them won't be a 4 of until I can amass the cash to finish it out.
The sideboard is not finalized yet. I'm mostly concerned about running 3 Tarmogoyf temporarily (obviously 4 is ideal). Are there any good budget alternatives to Blackcleave Cliffs? It's $100 for a playset now and shows no sign of dropping in price.
Here's a list I took to my LGS today to go 2-0-1 (2 Wins and a Draw). Given that I'm quite new to this deck, I think this is solid. The deck seemed solid overall and I felt in control most of the time. The draw was against another Jeskai Control deck which went to time. We were 1-1 when time was called.
The combo was reasonably consistent and I got the combo off 5 times over the course of the night (all my wins). My opponents generally didn't expect it, but I was able to win post-board as well with the combo. The deck is also very adept at winning the fair way, having Celestial Colonnade, Restoration Angel and burn to finish off the opponent. I was unsure about whether to run Serum Visions given some lists cut it, but I think it offers great consistency in the deck. 24 lands has generally been plenty given Serum Visions and the various cantrips make it easy to draw into lands to ensure proper fixing.
What is the likelihood of an Affinity ban? The ban mania is starting to get to me and while it isn't currently getting the discussion that Eldrazi is getting, it was still probably the second best performing deck at the Pro Tour and now contains one of the largest meta shares. I've seriously entertained the idea of selling out for a different deck to avoid being banned out.
I'd like to run Flooded Strands as well, but I don't really want to take apart my modern Jeskai Kiki-Control list. The mana base with just 8 fetches worked plenty well for me. I'll be taking the same list to Game Day tomorrow - we'll see how it goes.

Havibg built it it seems well positioned against all the aggro decks out there now.
