I have been thinking about liquidating my collection for sometime and I haven't followed pricing much for values in the past year or two. I was wondering what everyone's opinion on values for the two cards are. If you enlarge the photos to their largest you should be able to see the printing pattern. The writing is just something I added so that thieves wouldn't steal my images for con-jobs on ebay or anywhere else. Thanks in advance.
A guy made an offer on some of my legacy staples. I rejected his offers the first time but he came back at me with a really interesting offer. I really am having a hard time giving up my forces. I know many people hate CE cards but they seem to be worth quite a bit.

I would honestly think twice before making a lazy generalisation about theft.
Exodus test prints are more common than most people think. The numbers I hear are what, 20? 50? There are multiples of those figures for Exodus test prints. As for 8e test prints, that is incorrect. The figures thrown around are accurate.
I have not seen a test print that was a fake before, and the people whom I deal with for these know what they are doing and can be trusted. To be honest, I find it slightly amusing that a person who treasures his pre-alpha playtest weakness, a card more easily faked than the test prints you are questioning, is making catchall statements like the ones you have about legitimacy.
Someone is a little touchy, eh? Did I hit a nerve?
I understand why you or anyone else purchasing test print foils for hundreds or thousands of dollars would feel threatened by what I said. But thats not what I am going for here.
I want to state that I didn't accuse you of anything. I'm just saying I would be very careful about paying so much money for these test prints. It just seemed like whenever he needed money or wanted to clear out some space he would show up with a few dozen of these. What happens when he decided he wants a new house and he suddenly shows up with dozens or hundreds more of these he has available?
I was initially joking about them being stolen, its probably not the case in all reality I think he made some kind of connection at WoTC or Carta Mundi early on. Whether that source is picking them up legitimately or not its really hard to say...
And also where do you think I got my test-print from? It may or may not have come from the exact same source. The only difference is I didn't waste more than 2 figures on it, so if it turns out to be a fake its really no loss (although I really I don't believe this to be the case as the rest of the collection went to a prominent test print collector).
Basically to summarize, These foils are most likely real, however careful judgment should be exercised when dealing with things like that.
How do people get their hands on test prints anyway?
Stolen from Carta Mundi or WoTC? But seriously.....
When I worked at Trollandtoad Jim Brusso from Queen's domain lived close by. He used to come around with a suspicious number of these things. I saw dozens of foil test prints of City of Traitors/Survival of the Fittest/8th edition island with the Wave art etc. I really find it hard to believe these things are as rare or legit as people make them out to be.
I own the original Shuler Weakness. I've been looking for Jesper Myrfor's "The Fallen" for quite sometime, but I havent had any luck whatsoever tracking it down.
Revised rares were printed almost 300,000 times each. Unlimited less than 20,000. Plus revised looks pale and has a big ugly sideways T on the middle of the card. I always try to avoid these cards if possible. Unlimited looks more vintage, has better colors and is way more collectible.
Considering Candelabra was hot around the time it first came out I think its unlikely that 10% of the popoulation was destroyed. But even if it was that still leaves around 7000 playsets.
I collect because one day I noticed I had a ton and they were cheap so I decided to collect it. I now have a test print and the original painting form the alpha set.
