-For every 2 no-shows, add another slot that can advance to the next round. The winner of the slot(s) are the people with the highest score for the round that did not advance against their opponent.
(Although since some judges are biased towards higher scores and lower scores, these aren't perfect solutions).
Why implement such things? The contest is all about great cards and the people who make them and every reasonable effort should reward the people that do so. When 2 great cards face off, there should still be a chance for them both to advance imo.
I love how you managed to get through that entire fix to a CCG-based contest without once using the phrase 'wild card.'
Do I have to include the artist credit in with the text entry, or can it just be on the render?
Are there any pieces of art that are utterly clichéd here?
Is there an actual FCC FAQ? (A 183 page topic isn't particularly helpful, especially since most of the posts are contest-specific and questions can be worded so many ways that the search function doesn't really work)
Force of Faith 1W
Enchantment
When Force of Faith comes into play, you may pay 1W. If you do, Force of Faith becomes a 1/4 Elemental creature. W: Each creature's power becomes equal to its toughness until end of turn. Fear those that fight with all their heart.
Taint of Twilight 2B
Instant
Until the end of the turn, whenever any amount of mana is added to a player's mana pool, that player loses an equal amount of life. The land is covered in darkness for as long as it is in light.
Questing Librarian U
Creature - Human Wizard
1/1
Shuffle Questing Librarian into its owner's library: Draw a card, then discard a card. "It has to be here somewhere..."
I found a link to this on a blog and, I have to say, it's making me seriously consider going to apple, like nothing has before. Anyone know how reputable this is?
So how long until the signup thread shows up? The FAQ said something like 10 days, if I recall correctly, and last month's came up on the 24th... is it a week instead?
I'm looking forward to my first of these competitions.
