Alright Thanks for the heads up. I will try tranditional Jund Death Shadow splash white build. I realize there is some rough matchups, but I will give it a try.

Finally recently aquired my third and fourth bauble for Tezzerator, which made me finally realize I have all the cards for DS now. So my question to you guys is I have an odd local meta and I am not 100% sure what version is best. We have zero DS players in town so I would like to anger some people.

My local meta that shows up regularly
1-2 Tron decks (everyone is tired of losing to tron)
    1-2 Burn decks
    1-3 Grixis Delver
    1-2 Elves

Then there is lots of people who bring different decks being:
    Jeskai Control (kiki/resto)
    Dredge
    Living End
    Lantern
    Bant Company
    Jund

Bunch of random decks and you never really know what is going to be there. So out of your guys professional opinion what do you think is best? Straight jund? Splash white? Splash Blue? or play Grixis Shadow.

Is there a reason you guys are running spire of industry over glimmervoid?

I don't have a report or anything but I was at my first gp last weekend and I made day 2. I dropped at 6 4 1. I could have done a lot better but being my first gp I was fatigued and made mistakes. Just have to try and remember each round. Was playing Kutchers 75

    Burn 2 0
    Merfolk 2 0 (surprising)
    Grixis control 2 1
Dredge 0 2 (missed lethal game one)
    Spike feeder 0 2 (misplayed)
    RG Ponza 2 1
    Revolt zoo 2 0
Affinity 1 2 (he grinder through so much hate. Can't believe I lost this)

I honestly can't remember what my other win was day 1. *edit* other win was bant knightfall 2 0

    Day 2
Ad nauseum 1 2 (silver player foil deck. Soooooooo close to beating him)
Living end 1 1 1 so, I completely ****ed up by not calling a judge. I just honestly didn't care and I have no excuse. Game 2 he had 3 lands, 1 being a fetch and a living end in the grave. My eot he cracks and I use that moment to surgical his living he. He goes "oh okay" I literally already had his deck in my hand and then he goes. "Wait can I respond to that?" And I say why wouldn't you be able too. Then he exiles simian spirit guide already been done casts demonic dread. Like I said I don't really have an excuse. If I just called a judge I would have won and kept playing.

I apologise foyow my post came off. I have read everything time and time again and the reason I still asked the question was because I was still having troubles. I suppose I could have been more specific. One of the main questions I have is deciding when I want rh Huntmaster package the revealer package or both. If I know it is going to be grinds like jund I bring in both cutting mandrils. She match ups I don't need value from Reveler and just lifegain ect from Huntmaster. Is there ever a match up where I bring in revellers without Huntmaster?

Those two packages are the main focus point on most of my problems with sideboarding. Lots of local playtesting and still more trouble that it should be. Trying to be more prepared for the gp next weekend.

I realize I have posted this before, but could anyone help me with sideboarding? I go to GP Vancouver next weekend and I still don't know most games. I am running Kutchers 75 right now.

@ashtonkutcher are you still running your exact list from a few pages back post ban? If not you mind posting a new list?

I have had very little, well quite literally zero, playtesting with the version. But I took it to my local gpt and took 3rd. Went undefeated in groups and lost in the top 4 to affinity (I don't wanna talk about it. I hate etched champion so much) all I can say is I look forward to running we in the future as I was still on surgical for this as my local meta has two dredger in it.

My biggest problem is. How the hell do we sideboard with 4 Huntmaster 2 revellers. I was just doing completely random stuff hoping it was the right thing to do. And the other problem I had is that I was pretty sure I wasn't aggressively mulliganing my hands enough. When is a 7 or 6 actually borderline bad enough to keep? Or if I ever think, "I can probably keep this." Does that usually mean I should just mulligan? I realize it is easy to have a much better 6 or 5 withe turn 1 delver or turn 2 hooter.

    Thanks ahead of time.

What is your list with the new changes? If you have even had to make or test a new list. I am going to start trying to Traverse strategy currently I am wondering how you are working deprive into everything post ban.

Hey guys, long time lurker. Been constantly scamming to see what people have been coming up with since the probe ban. Can't say I am super crazy about the Traverse plan but I might give it a try. Something I always wanted to give a chance but never got around to it was deprive. I know everyone always said that shoal was simply better, but with shoal mostly being cut I thought I might at least bring it into the discussion. I assume people will say it just isn't needed or why not just run spells are assumed those aren't necessarily wrong answers to my question. I just always loved the deck because of the wide range of obscure cards like tarfire, simic charm, shoal, denial. And deprive is another garbage spell that I would love to at least try and pretend is good.

I have been running a big zoo list without goyfs due to cost. Basically threw in an extra ooze, extra pridemage and 2 thalia mainboard just so i could play the deck. Now i see everyone is using oath of nissa and arlin. Since my list has no goyfs i am really not sure what is the best route to go. I have always loved coco, such a wonderful card. If i don't have the powerhouse that is the goyf, what do you guys think the best route would be?

I am still running my grixis shoal version. I realize everyone was hyped to use emrakul again with twin gone. But it seems the shoal version barly exists anymore. Why is that?

I started playing this deck with a demigod list. Then slowly moved to a pia list. I honestly don't know what is better, they are both so good. I truthfully think the pia list is better since the entire time i play demigod i only won a few sparce games with it. It is just always a threat that is always there. In my pia list i run reckoner, flamecaller, and batterskull. And they get the work done just as good. With magma jets replacing faithless looting, I still think the brick wall strategy of protecting koth is the way to go.

Just won my local modern Tour on thursday 4-0.

My list was from the most recent PT list, though it was an accident since we don't have much infect.
Forgot to change it back while i was testing. But what I will say is that I won at A LOT of games with summoners pacts. I actually won 2 games going into turn 4 with only 6 lands in play. Play the 7th, summoners pact up a tribe elder, play him, sac, scapeshift for 8. And post sideboard it can search for balothes. Sounds underwhealming but a 2 of summoners pact has done me a lot so far. Not sure what to replace the skites with, maybe i'll try omens again.

I am going to have to get my hands on a few and try it out. with 8 spots I am going to have to test and see what i want out of 4x relic 4x mindstone and 4x magma jet. In my local meta relic isn't really needed as a mb card so I presume i will end up putting relics back in the SB for it. scry 2 makes me pretty horny. Thanks guys.

Might give pyromaster another chance aswell. But I don't really wanna take out a koth for her like previously mentioned list did. Also don't really feel like taking out my 1x banefire.

Been seeing lots of lists lately running magma jet, and I must say I am very interested. scry 2 would be so godly helpful in this deck. Your choice of batterskull over wurmcoil is pretty interesting, until I thought about a 5/5 thopter getting in for some damage. Sounds appealing. Also to comment on the fact that you have no mindstones. Understandable but i feel like they are sooooo important for turn 3 koths and turn 3 pias. I really miss having mb relics. But having a hard time deciding between magma jets and relics.
