Could have a slot or two in the SB possibly. Not sure its better than Relic but it is a 2/2 body that could help keep a Goyf in check with its ability. May have to try some play testing vs. Jund.
In modern I am thinking it could be useful sb material vs Dredge or DSJ. Also I like that it could keep Goyf in check. Then it exiles to not add an artifact to the gy. Could have its uses.
As to Jester's Cap the question is will it come down and be able to be used in time or not? Turn 4 play, turn 5 activate may be too slow already. I suppose it could be if you have a lot of these decks in your meta. For something a little quicker but not as sure you could try Thorn of Amethyst or Trinisphere that could give you enough time to put defenses in place. Plus I'm not sure just hitting 3 cards will be enough against either one of these decks either as they both have redundancies for just this reason. Are we talking about Lightning Storm and Laboratory Maniac in Ad Nauseam? What for in Cheerios then? Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and Grapeshot? I'll let others voice their opinion.
The Burn matchup is a bear Game One. Been playing several games and win rate game one is probably something like 25-33%. Life loss happens so fast that if you don't combo off turn 3/4 or it gets shut down that it may be too late to combo off again. I'm now even thinking about Pelakka Wurm in the SB for some possible life gain. Yet again if it gets stopped by removal of a token there is that or it may not even come out as a 1 in 3 or 1 in 2 chance. Burn matchup = bad.
Mizzium Skin is more narrow overall, but for the tokens themselves it is more broad as it stops things like Walking Ballista or any activated abilities like "Destroy target creature/permanent". Problem is I tested it vs. Burn a bit last night and it really didn't do much. I think I'm just going to try MORE token generators in their place. Next test is +2 copies of Hordeling Outburst. I've thought about trying 2 Empty the Warrens but I really want to be attempting the first combo on turn 3 or 4. And there is no guarantee I can Storm with EtW, although the odds are decent that we could get 4 tokens. With Outburst I can potentially play it turn 2 with a Ritual. These tokens die fast.
On a bright note I did win one game vs. Burn going down to 1 life then casting a Creativity on X=2 and hitting Dragonlord Kolaghan and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn for a hasted victory. That was fun.
Are there any spells out there (any color) that produce tokens with Hexproof? I think that is one of the biggest factors holding this strategy back. Until we get that I'm not sure we have a viable deck. Fun for sure, but competitive not sure. I almost expect the "combo" to fizzle if I cast it on turn 3/4, and most of the time opponents removal does just that. I can't believe I'm thinking about 2 Mizzium Skin main deck to combat removal.
It does. I think I will keep it in my "maybe-board" right now. I was actually thinking about it giving the tokens Hexproof against a removal heavy opponent. But I suppose if you could sneak AofE through, you could have got a Titan through.
Could have a use but seems a bit weak. Would love to pop it on Emmy/Ulamog though.

If it were a free token when cycled or discarded I think it could be a possibility. As it stands, I too think it is too slow and inefficient a card.
Will keep my eye out for testing Resolute Archangel as well.
Was this getting played at GP San Antonio in DSJ or something else?
Any life gain options out there for the SB?
