Remember Emeria's Call is not really taking up a card slot. It takes up one of the Plains land slot. I am totally agreed on Brave the Elements. That card has won me many a game.

Pioneer play is indeed down now. Test it when you can and good luck.

Its the "if some is good more is better" mentality currently at Hasbro/WotC. You can tell they have been directed to double sales by this non stop stream of product. Its going to jump up and bite them in the rear very soon. The thing is people keep buying. So if that happens why should they stop?

Fortunately wide swaths of this country have more sense than those in charge in NYC. They will make it if they are allowed to.

    Thank you!

No problem. I hope you don't think I am being overly harsh, just realistic. Have fun with the deck against other casual decks. Best wishes.

I take it this is just a "kitchen table" or casual format deck? As the deck stands it looks like it would only be legal in Vintage or Legacy. For a casual deck it is just fine albeit slow and a bit too high on the mana curve. It would get absolutely obliterated in Vintage or Legacy, it would never win a game.

Brew for fun, have fun, play for fun. That is what your deck looks like it will accomplish. Smile

You mean like what Pokémon TCG does with the Junior. Senior, and Masters divisions for Organized Play?

Possibly. I don't follow Pokemon so I would have to check it out. I would rather the delineations be made on age ranges. An 18 year old may be able to sit and play 13 rounds of Magic for 15 hours straight but expecting a 55 year old to be able to handle those same rigors is not what I imagine. Youthful players generally have a physical advantage over senior players in long drawn out tournaments.

There is also the stigma of inappropriateness attached to an older player playing against (non-familial) children/teens/non-adults. I never want to leave myself open to any potential claims of that nature.

    Interesting Bant list.

I'm not the biggest fan of Speaker of the Heavens. I would be tempted to -2 of those and +2 Realmwalker. Sure it ups your curve but it also ups your Angel count. Just a thought.

Emeria's Call as a one of? Maybe sneak an Unclaimed Territory single copy in there as well??? Any results with either deck yet?

Pretty rude of them to just announce an announcement like that. They should've announced that they were going to announce the announcement, just to keep everyone in the loop.

But its an announcement of an amouncement. Totally different. Wink

I have gotten some pretty mangled packages in my day including from UPS. I have gotten booster boxes in this shape unfortunately as well.

Besides, the EV of an AFR draft booster box is through the floor. Not sure what packs they would replace them worth less. Proof will be in opening it. I think you will be okay, but that isn't a guarantee, good luck. Smile

Without any further pictures I am going to say its just crap shipping. Looks like it has been dropped on the corner and banged around and punctured by something else and the bubbles in the wrap could be chalked up to being next to or dripped on by something very hot. Who shipped it UPS, USPS, FedEx or another outfit?

Wizards is more interested in fooling people into paying more for less physical product.

I would agree with that statement. Sooner or later the player base/buying base will erode to a point where they will have to close up shop. They have no long term game plan that I can tell.

I have mentioned it before in the past but I will bring it up again. At some point when we get through all this covid crap, it would be nice if WotC would sanction a "Seniors" Division in paper that would retain or try to grow paper play in person. Not sure where the age cut-off would be but maybe 40 and up. I could be tempted to spend some of my valuable free time to enter events that I know will be filled with participants near my age. I have ZERO interest in playing against random children, teens and young 20 somethings in a public setting. Family and close friends at the kitchen table is another thing that I AM okay with. I can also imagine the uncomfortability of a very young player sitting down next to an older adult that could be their parent or even grandparent. Companies have blinders on when it comes to recruiting or retaining customers, they only look DOWN in age, not UP. Guess who has FAR more disposable income?

Just a thought. As Magic players age I think some shrewd LGS will attempt this at some point hopefully. Maybe WotC could be ahead of the curve instead of being reactionary as usual.

Have you tried a search by using a site like scryfall.com ?

You can enter creature type dragon and it will pull up every dragon ever printed including all its printings. Its a powerful tool. Good luck.
