Love the basic lands and the Wanted posters. Need to see more of the set. I had overly high expectations for this and I just have a feeling they won't live up to them, but lets see what else is coming.
I don't think "I had no time to read the article, but I had plenty of time to post virtriolic judgment on said article" is the quantifier of value you want, my guy.
Plus, like, you've responded to my threads, and I'm in no way concise.
I responded to this one. I'd say your post is the definition of concise. The article was too long, defend it if you must but it was extraneous and not worth reading in its excruciating entirety. Get over it, not everyone thinks like you do.
Personally I didn't read the article, I just read the diagram.
Careful saying that, you may be branded a Luddite by some here.
Did anyone? It was like a million word article and that piece of information was BURIED down in the last quarter of the GREAT TEXT WALL of China. Should have been included in the beginning with bullet points OR included in a summary at the end of the article. HORRIBLE way of passing on information. Brief concise instead of TLDR.
They could have at least cut the art card and included another card. I understand some like them, at first I was rather fond of them, but I'd rather have a game piece than a bookmark, and if they could remove the ad/tip card(s) altogether that would be swell or at least put them on the back of tokens
My word you are talking WAY too much sense. This should be plastered up at WotC headquarters for all to read over and over.
So less cards per pack.
Price starting at Set Booster pricing. (What do you want to bet its more than the $5.98 or $6.48 that you pay at US box stores) I am guessing $6.98 or $7.48 pricing at box stores. Oh and a Play booster box price increase as well. Likely 30 packs in a Play booster box as well.
Typical Less is More nonsense.
I would not be surprised to see in a year or two another pack product slotting in between Play boosters and Collector boosters at around 12 dollars a pack. You know they cant resist.
However, I find it deceptive and confusing when cards have a pseudo-rarity where they masquerade as "uncommon" despite actually being considerably more rare based on print numbers and distribution.
Agreed 100%
Then you have that whole "track printing" business as well. There are some cards at each rarity that already have a lesser chance of being pulled, thereby making them a rarity within a rarity.
Magic: The Baseballing just feels as though Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro are REALLY desperate to outdo the Sports Card Industry which is very reflective of what they're doing with Magic: The Gathering right now. Too bad these won't be in wrappers with chewing gum like in the good ole' days.
They jumped the shark. (You youngins can look it up)
I love baseball and at one point had more baseball cards than Magic cards. But I have ZERO interest in these. They are cheesy/corny/tacky to the Nth degree. If someone wants to spend their hard earned money on them go right ahead but it won't be me.
I actually really like the artwork on a couple of the other drops, but won't buy either for 2 reasons.
1. Value isn't there.
2. Where are the 4 of playsets??? I want 4 of certain cards and I am not paying 120 bucks for a playset of cards I can get for 1 tenth of that price. WotC needs to remember there are more than just Commander players out there.
Looks like the thread is getting a few views, any thoughts out there?
I see a few cards that may make an impact but the overall set really doesn't look like it will move the needle much at all in Standard. Power looks a bit on the mild side. I could be missing something but other than UB Faeries becoming a thing I just don't see much right now on first inspection. Feel free to share.
Looking forward to this one.

I suppose if you have time to spare. My time is quite valuable, synopsis please, not verbal diarhea.

Tribal players rejoice!!!
Less product or improve your "bucket" to hold back the leaks.

One of the top decks in the meta currently. Check out all the iterations. Netdeckers love it as it is cheap.
