Hey everyone! I'm new to playing fish in legacy, although I'm a long time modern fish player. Is there an updated/more recent primer anywhere that I ought to read to get aquatinted with the deck? I'm just wondering if there are any interesting tricks that I might not be aware of, or meta choices I wouldn't know about by just looking at lists.

Personally, at the very least I would suggest trading them on something like Pucatrade or just in person if you want other cards in exchange. It gets you a much fairer trade than just selling to someone for roughly half their value and then paying full value for cards immediately afterwards. If you want cards there are better ways to get what they're actually worth out of them.
Back to the actual question, that's an entirely personal question I think. Like, are you particularly attached to them? If not, I might suggest selling/trading them as most of them will probably drop in price soon, but some might rise. It's a risk either way, although I'd put my money on the average of your collection falling unless you got very lucky. On the other hand, value is, while quantifiable, entirely subjective. If the cards mean something to you or you think they're super cool and just like them, you might just wanna keep them.
As for protection, the best way to protect them is obviously just not to use them and keep them stored, but that's obviously not the advice you're looking for nor is it reasonable. I use KMC hyper matte sleeves and double sleeve them with the KMC perfect fit. Double sleeving is your safest option, but will also cost more.
