Ok, It isn't a huge deal but I have gone 3-1 multiple times and none of them show up on the wizards site. Do they just pick and choose which deck lists show up on their lists?
With people cutting Savagery for Spear, I thought it might be worth trying Hunger of the Howlpack as a 1x-3x of, as a cheaper Savagery.
I dont think people are cutting savagery due to cost. You get 2 for 1'd. Too often with it. So in that aspect howlpack is worse. No flashback. This deck has 8 ramp abilities, so no real mana issues.
I have seen this deck do well without the maulers. Is there a reason why you opted out? Id love to know because I love rancor on zealot, but it sadly doesnt combo with bte.
definitely some good information in here. Seems like shocklands are something that maybe I should shy away from unless I need them at least until dgm comes out.
If all you had in magic was a Gruul deck(hellrider, reckoner, stomping ground, rootbound crag).
What would you buy if you had 100.00 credit? Would you just stock up on dual lands? Maybe pick up cards that can pair up with the gruul stuff? Just curious what all you guys would do.
I keep on looking at buying duals just because they are always a good buy. I am thinking about overgrown tombs, blood crypts, and some of the check lands for those colors. Seems like an easy conversion if I want to play jund aggro at some point.
Hmm my list is at 20 land. Seems like I might have major issues with my mana base in yhe future. Would you guys change my list? So far it has been performing well.
So abundance of aggro is why it didn't do well last season??? Have you seen how many naya blitz and gruul decks are running around? They are both faster then rdw.
Mind posting what list you were using? I am pretty convinced Madcap skills is a bad choice right now, at least in my meta. And I am also convinced, that Stonewright is a worthy inclusion, even with 18-20 lands. He is just so bomb against control and rarely subpar, even multiples. It's also nice to have him just to break through the loxodon smiters and restoration angels all over the place.

On mtgo, I have seemed to fair well against aggro with this amount of burn. Also, I end up siding in Blasphemous Act.
Now, would I actually be better of going with the gruul midrange domri list? Without increasing savagery?

Also, have you guys faced dega midrange? I had no hope vs it. I mean wow, it had answers for everything.
