Both Ranging Raptors and Raptor Hatchling are very good. I really like these enrage Dino's with Saving Grace, I think that might be a thing.

However, in Standard? This guy is good. I think it might be the best card if the set.

It is interesting to note that Aftermath cards count for their total CMC, so Commit to Memory has a CMC of 10, Insult to Injury 6, ect. This is important to note because of te interaction with Combustible Gearhulk.

Eldritch Evolution with Bone Picker seems pretty good.

Turn 1, Flameblade Adept, Turn 2, Noose Constrictor, Turn 3, swing with both, after declaring blockers discard all but one card to Constrictor, then cast Shadow of the Grave, putting them all back into your hand, discard them all again. Both of your creature now have either +8 power, or +10, depending if you are on the play or draw. You either deal 18 damage or 22 damage on turn three.

So, ending the turn exiles Glorious End too, right? Which means we can't Torrential Gearhulk to flash it back?

I've been trying to find a way to make Fateful Showdown good, this might do it.

OP listed a bunch of cards that might be viable in a deck centered around Splendid Reclamation, then a possible deck list running some of those cards. The OP probably posted too much information/ not enough of the right information.

The idea of the proposed decklist is to control the game while getting lands in the GY via Crawling Sensation, Baral, and cycling lands. Then cast Splendid Reclamation while having a Tireless Tracker in play, getting a bunch of clues in play to generate more card advantage, allowing the player to smother their opponent in card advantage.

I'd like to point out that Summary Dismissal does not counter, so it will not trigger Baral. I'm worried that the current decklist may not have enough ways to get lands into the graveyard, and I believe Crawling sensation is not powerful enough, since it only mills 2 cards per turn and can give you only 1 token at most.

  • posted a message on Reduce to Rubble
What about Flashing back Rubble with Goblin Dark-Dwellers? You've got a 4/4 Menace, and they only have 2-3 lands to work with.

How does Torrential Gearhulk work with these Aftermath cards? If one side is an instant, can you cast the sorcery side instead?

Edit: Tabak answered the question in his Twitter. If either side is an instant, you can cast either side.
So, we can hold Gearhulk in-hand, and if they don't play something worth countering, or if they have the 3 to spare, you can flashback Rubble instead. But I guess that actually wouldn't be worth it, because they would get to Untap, right?

Edit #2: I should have read the card again, it DOES work! Hmmm... This is actually pretty cool. So, you can flash in Gearhulk, and either counter a spell or lock down 3 mana for your turn AND their next turn!

Might see play as a one-of, because Glimmer is often better, and you can't Gearhulk this card.

However, this might be the card we needed to make Inspiring Staturary a real thing. But even then, Gimmer might be better X% of the time.

Also, a 4/2 dies a lot easier than a 3/3, so rather than make a repeatable 3/3, they probably felt safer making it a 4/2. Changing the casting cost to 3G would have made it unplayable, and making it a 2/2 would have been bad too.

So, long and short, how does Harness the Storm interact with Aftermath cards? If I cast the top half from my hand, can I cast the bottom half from my graveyard? Would there even be any advantage to doing that? Assuming you can, would it get exiled?
