Does anyone else find it strange that they're pushing white vampires? I mean, for Sorin it made a little sense, but as one of Black's iconic creatures it makes about as much sense as white demons or red sphinxes.
I don't know how they could possibly pull of a western world and still feel like magic. But they did do "steampunk" with Kaladesh, so I suppose its possible.
Is she though, is she? Hazoret would have made a cooler speedster planeswalker imo. After the greatest lie she's ever known, and the fall of her siblings, her spark ignites. And we got huge doggo PW.
But, I do understand beings of mana cannot be PWs sad. Tragic.
I'm curious to know if Xenagos lost his spark after he became a god. Theran gods aren't like Amonkhet gods, plus Xenagos wasn't normal either. However you would think a mana connected being like a god planewalked, they would just die or lose power, since they aren't on their home plane.
I'm still confused on why he seems to be destroying Amonkhet. Yes, he has his army, but the lazotep hasn't run out yet has it? Couldn't he just leave the natives alive so they pump out additional soldiers. Once he moves his army off-plane he can just make regular trips back to collect additional support. One small army can't conquer an entire multiverse, and the number of worthy dead compared to the number of failures makes it seem like that army must be far smaller than anything he could use to invade entire planes. It just makes far more sense to not destroy everything. I just don't get it.
That would be cool, but from what I have heard, it will be a scarab. Or just a skeleton thing, quite frankly I have no idea why people are saying it will be a scarab though.
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it has a scarab-shaped head?
Also scarab is more fitting for the insect theme they're going with regarding the 3 HOU Gods than Frogs or whatever other animals people pick out of the biblical hat.
Prior to them releasing the actual cards I couldn't really make out a head shape from the one picture I had seen. One from archenemy with the scorpion god in the forefront and the other two in the back.

Dang, the new gods are probably going to be even more massive than the other 5. Even if Rhonas was standing to his full height (and alive), the scorpion god would still stand head and shoulder above him.
It implies that the three gods that no longer exist here are the three titans ("I would devour all but I begin here"--as opposed to began or will begin) and that Nicol Bolas knew about them before, or perhaps as a result of, conquering the plane and supplanting the natural order.
colour me not interested in more Eldrazi BS.
Can't be. It was stated that Bolas has only had a hold on the plane for a few decades, wheres the three eldrazi titans have existed for thousands of years.
I wouldn't mind an Eldrazi if it's WUBRG with devoid and an explanation is provided as to why it wasn't on Zendikar. The only tribe that would bother me are slivers, we already have 4 strong 5c commanders for them.
I said this on another thread actually, but Tazri. In her story during oath of the gatewatch, she experienced a future version of herself that was altered and given new abilities by Kozilek. Since her original card had a 5 color identity, it isn't too hard to justify making this into a 5 color devoid eldrazi commander. Go eltazri!!!
If that's the case for this she won't look like something from eldritch moon will she?
And more like something Kozilek and Ulamog would make.
Yeah most likely. No latticework, but maybe floaty shard things.

Ummm.... Butcher of the Horde and Arjun, the Shifting Flame?
That would be hilarious! However, I think he would be far more interested in "acquiring" Darretti.

And if Samut's own power level is on par with her card's, I wouldn't be worried.
I'm sorry Samut, you're still cool.
That would be awesome in so many ways!

Also, frogs. Please.
