emphasis on "at the moment." That means that people aren't currently playing much grave hate, so it's a good metagame choice to have a graveyard deck. But that doesn't mean the Modern cardpool lacks the appropriate amount of hate.Quote from Daeyel »Quote from Richard Arschmann »and there's a ton of graveyard hate right now in modern,
Funny you say that, because Seth Manfield over on tcgplayer.com said the exact opposite in an article on preparing for a ban in Modern, declaring of Jason Chung's Dredge:
Quote from...there is very little graveyard hate at the moment.

CavalryWolfPack posted a message on The PucaTrade ThreadIt sounds like your trade partner might be a little nit picky, but I do recommend putting "do not bend" on the envelope. I've almost had several cards damaged because the envelope was bent. As for the tape, let's not discount a medical reason. If he/she has a high-functioning form of autism, he/she might not like the feeling of tape. It might make him/her rather uncomfortable. So yes, try your hardest to follow the guidelines of others. I'm sure you would like to have your's followed.Posted in: Market Street Café -

Except its not random or a true unknown. We are in Modern season. I have tried to explain to you there is a cycle and patterns to the market. Just because you refuse to understand it or learn it, doesnt make it random or an unknown to those who did learn it. Take the time to look at the cycles and patterns and you wont be so upset over yearly spikes that come from the current meta game.
What I'm saying is relative to us being in modern season. Key word being relative. And you've never had to explain that we are in modern season, that would be you believing that you need to do boisterous self speeches.
That or just venting like I do sometimes with my worries about the modern format in general and the secondary market being in control of it. -

Are poor deck builders who require a forum to feel like they can compete
I dare you to show me a modern deck that made top 8 in a tournament with Absorb Vis, Avian Changeling, Torrent of Stone or even Traumatic Visions. Your post is completely off topic and not the place to take a dig at people who netdeck, which isn't even wrong in the first place. -

MantisRider posted a message on Eternal Masters Confirmedlol, y'all so negative it's disgusting. At least let the dust settle before you start yelling out your bond villian-esque monologue about how you intend to profit off of human greed and **** all the people you have to play fnm with every week out of their format staples for sealed product. Good lord.Posted in: The Rumor Mill -

MaximumC posted a message on Eternal Masters ConfirmedPosted in: The Rumor MillQuote from Gutterstorm »Why are people weirded out by the $10 tag? Thats the same as MM2015. All things considered they could have charged $20 a pack and gotten away with it.
Oh, but the stores will. There's every reason to think this set opens the gates at 20 - 30 dollars a pack. The only limitation will be whether SOMEONE is willing to pay that price. ITS TIME TO FINALLY FIND OUT THE MAXIMUM POSSIBLE THESE IDIOTS (eg: us ) WILL PAY FOR PACKS! If you have a store that is dedicated to a good draft experience and willing to sell them at MSRP to make that happen, GO TO ALL THE DRAFTS YOU CAN FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.
Everyone else? Sit back and wait for Legacy staples to drop in price on eBay slightly during the print run and gobble up the cards. Remember, while Modern Masters did jack-all for Tarmagoyf and the other mythics, it cut prices of staple uncommons and commons in half or more while it was in print. -

Derpenmage posted a message on Eternal Masters ConfirmedI find it hard to get my hopes up. Looking back on the two mm sets I fear that wizards has the inability to balance a draft set with competitive cards at the constructed level. Seems to me that maybe a non draft set just a reprint set might be what the magic community has been screaming for for quite a whilePosted in: The Rumor Mill -

I don't know your MtG budget situation but if you really need the Rancor's I'd get them as soon as you can.
If they're truly going up as a result of a big surge in Bogles or something, they have a lot more they could go, than they could go down.
I probably shouldn't open my big mouth, buuuuut....
many Bogles' cards, especially foils, are incredibly low. Compare Foil Ethereal Armor at $2 to Foil Blighted Agent at $25 or so. I'm pretty sure that someone could buy out a bunch of foil uncommons and commons from Bogles and make a killing. One problem is that most Bogles' players don't prefer foils, but eventually even that won't matter. -

Niallplaysmagic posted a message on [[Official]] Modern Prices DiscussionPosted in: ModernQuote from Daeyel »And Magus of the Tabernacle spiked. 3 of 4 of my bets have now spiked.
And the last one is starting to get mentioned in SCG and CFB articles, as well as on this site and mtggoldfish. That generally means a spike is coming in a week or 2.
Meanwhile, I'm looking to determine if a certain card is indeed the best creature in Modern - bar none. It just might be. Much testing this weekend. 0.o
Extremely liberal use of the word 'spike' here - Magus can still be got for under a dollar from many tcgplayer sellers. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
