I have actually found that the best way to play this deck is to pack a good amount of removal like Doom Blade. Kill their early stuff and then land a few 'tars, and keep a kragma in hand for an alpha strike. I splash green just for 2 Golgari Charm in the Maindeck. I throw in 4 Temple of Abandon for the G. It really pushes past detention sphere and allows for some end of turn tricks. Kill the sphere, get back the monger/shaman/warcaller, then strike for a lot.

The times I win games are when I hold back threats in my hand to drop with warcaller. I usually win in one swing, dealing about 15-18.

Rageblood Shaman is the *****. Also, Thoughtseize maindeck I think is useful. Like I said, early game you want to be killing off their early *****, or disrupting. I have taken out Cacklers in favor of Deathrite Shaman. They deal the 2 life far more consistently than the Cacklers. Mogis was taken out, the dude just never impacts the game the way I wish he would, and I'd almost always rather be playing another creature/kill spell.

What do you guys think about fog in the maindeck? it allows for a sit back and unleash. Or skullcrack against Mono Black?

I'm trying to figure out a way to make a comparison of light and dark but struggle. The traditional demon/angel depiction wouldn't work based on the anti theism going on in the same artwork. Originally I was thinking a little goblin creature similiar to 'The Darkness' comics but that still greatly resembles a demonic look and doesn't give me a contrasting good image.

So if you weren't tied to specific ideas other then strictly avoiding anything that could be argued to be of religious origin, how would you depict the traditional good and evil influences (like an angel in one ear the devil in the other style of contrasting imagery).

In my head it seems impossible but I'm sure it's simple and I'm just missing it.

to be honest, it is very hard to avoid connotations in artwork unless you go completely abstract. Like, abstract expressionism abstract. Anyway, I dont think you have to worry too much about religious connotations, because of the style you would be drawing it in. Depending on the style, and if its comic booky like you suggested, I certainly wouldnt worry.

    Also, as an artist, you pour a little bit of yourself into your work. Maybe its just you (;

It's far beyond board games at this point. She is truly being an insufferable *****. This really is a vent thread but some advice on how to deal with it without hurting my brother would be wonderfull.

Insufferable *****? are you kidding me guy? Girls act like this, seriously. She sounds like a normal person, and maybe you are coming off as judgmental to her. You seem like it to me, given that nothing *****y was in the OP at all.

Yeah so basically I just picked the chili peppers new album up. **** is straight up fire. I love almost every single song bar one. If any one else has heard it tell me what you think!

the band is definitely missing frusciante, but Clinghoffer does a stellar job in this album to be completely honest. They sound a little bit like one hot minute.

But yeah, this album is awesome.

okay, I'm a fan of heavy metal music and wrestling, but people I know have been telling me that I'm too old to watch wrestling or listen to heavy metal (I turn 20 on Friday).

do they actually have a point or are they just trying to pressure me to change?

To them they have a point, are they trying to make you change based on your social antics? Do you go out often (non magic)? Cause I mean, watching wrestling and only listening to metal music cant be too good for the image. Although if Its what you like idgaf and neither should they lol

Lightning bolt would look aweful tbh. As it wouldn't blend well.
Also how I do mine, I render the image out. At that point it would look just like a normal lightning bolt and no one would get its the Lightning bolt card.

Maybe in your opinion it may look awful, but why not give it a go and try it out anyway? You can make anything blend if you're using Photoshop. I see no reason this particular request should be disregarded.

Here's a playmat I made a while back but never got around to posting. I've done a few before, but neglected to document them before I shipped them.

Teach? Really? Well I suppose that is what I get for trying to be constructive on an internet forum. Lesson learned.

Nah chill, I would totally fill in the space, sure. But as long as you take care of it, you should be fine. If you're willing to shell out the money for it, I would assume you'd take good care of it. Welp, I mean i'm perfectly happy with the piece, and so is the customer. I mean anything else for the price would be excessive imo, especially given the price for the materials.

I lurk this thread occasionally, and I've seen your stuff. A lot of it is really good, man. The card duplications are mad proper.

I notice you use Contic markers, how do you like those? Have you ever used Prismacolor? And do you use any set of grey marker?

Great work. One suggestion: You might see if you can talk the recipient into a background color to fill the white space. I have found that these white mats get dirty faster than you would think and once they get dirty you can't really clean them. Just a thought.

    Again, great work.

Si, but filling in the white would ruin composition! Teach
