Maybe this is a terrible thing to say but part of the problem is the player base. Net decking is a very evil thing nothing worse than showing up and playing the same 2-3 decks. The last few years I have abandoned standard due to all the net decking. Seems like innistrad and before there was diversity locally with lots of home brews but as the pros dial in how to win the most they limit the options as certain decks push the brews out of competition for all but the best of players.

I would love to see undermine reprinted could be a nice addition and open up the forgotten archetype of counterburn. Here's hoping something breaks loose in the next few sets that gives tempo/control a boost to help get another few types of top decks rolling out.

I think bolas will have killed ugin before the power rangers show up to confront him killed after he got what he needed. Strong feelings in me that bolas is manipulating the phyrexians aswell. I know it seems rushed to wrap up both the big bads in 8 sets but they gotta make room for progression and leaving the phyrexians out there and hanging just seems wrong.

Honestly 10 power for 6 mana and potential for building out a good upsize to your board with him every turn seems like pretty good return for 6 mana. Plus he makes zombies in commander zombies are hype as heck. Hard to watch your language took me like two mins to think what to replace the f with there.

Wow forget 8rack this is trump rack, just grab them by their discard. Great thing about community is taking info from a mass of people. If ya don't want imput don't post on social media. And yeah I know this is off topic so I'm sure it will be reported.

Am i wrong in seeing this as a tron u or gr card I mean could be turned 6 with this and with tron the board state could be so overwhelming that this into free turn should be game over. U tron I think would like this more

Was wondering the importance of wasteland as I was looking at crystal vein I thought that it would increase consistency of the deck substantially. But maybe that just kills the interaction of the deck by not having wasteland any thoughts?

Not sure if any of y'all played in Arabian knights but this turtle did work for control decks exactly how revolutionary stated a 1/4 for 2 was a huge butt in early magic. For nostalgia reasons and plain out showing a glimpse at wizards roots this card is a win.

Just gonna say it. Not gonna quote anyone just gonna say it. hype train. This is what spoiler season is all about. I actually bought in at first. This thing is flavour wise a total win very neat card requires set up but very neat card. This will never be the equivalence of jace or goyf, I keep seeing people say that and replacement for twin I have read once or twice here and heard murmurings at my local store. This card does not slot into any of the existing decent modern decks without a stretch and I'm sorry to say I see you play this against me in legacy I will probably pee myself with excitement. This card is going to see minimal play in standard as people force it into decks for a while but as far as limited this thing is pure gas. Get to one counter and hold there leave mana open its like an o stone it will keep the aggressor from hyper extending. I really like this card for limited

You as a player determine which come into play first so you would setup the order of which these triggers happen so if you went oath planeswalker oath you would get eight counters and 2 loyalty added on reacting to doubling season. And yes after the first one entered, the second one would exile the first. I believe this would be the best way to proposition the order of enter the field. I could be wrong but to me that would be the best way.

I find it hard to get my hopes up. Looking back on the two mm sets I fear that wizards has the inability to balance a draft set with competitive cards at the constructed level. Seems to me that maybe a non draft set just a reprint set might be what the magic community has been screaming for for quite a while

Mardu tap out control to me is in a very good spot. Crackling doom is definitely modern playable against all these reality smashers seems sacrifice effects are gonna be good and crackling doom is top of the field.

I'm just saying screaming for the ban hammer before the meta has a chance to react is a terrible thing to do. There are multiple options for this deck including the first one that popped into my mind while watching it would be fat bottom Doran. The deck caught everyone unaware lets just see what happens. Without hate affinity would be broken as hell but with the hate for it it becomes a navigatable match for all colours except for black I guess. Screaming for ban in a format wizards is trying to sculpt is a mistake. As much as they pretend to not be overly invested in modern they banned splinter twin and bloom when the public was screaming about those two decks and also gave us back the modern pro tour when we complained about it. I stand by the fact that I wish wizards would stay out of modern and let the format develop itself obviously banning what needs to be as it goes but not until the format is given sufficient time to sort itself out after a big shake up like Eldrazi. Don't scream ban scream innovate

I love all the talk of banning after one tournament where a lot of the big ballers of Mtg are piloting the same deck. And for the other point has anyone actually looked at the diversity of the competitive decks. I am sure I am not the only one that saw the focus on linear decks. There really wasn't that much diversity, probably mostly due to the team interaction that goes hand in hand in the professional level. It's a simple thing for the elite to pilot a linear deck to good results. The Eldrazi deck has next to no interaction effects and is crippled by its inability to play from behind. Modern pro tours are a mistake if you really enjoy modern wizards should keep their fingers out of it and the pro tour is the only reason they are delved so deep in it.

I think the nice thing about leaks is it shows us some over powered cards in a vacuum without seeing the rest of the set some of those diabolical speculators grab a bunch of twenty dollar mythic which dive bomb after the set is released. Now I understand speculators aren't immoral but the fact is they drive up the costs of cards that peoe that actually just want a few-4 for a deck can't get them at a descent value. I love people getting their commupins.
