The area I live in is just about as devoid of magic as you can possibly get; I'd have to drive at least an hour away from town to get to the nearest prerelease or FNM; which is not worth it if I still played every week like I used to do.
Once I get around to moving near the end of the year, though, I'd ideally like to find a more receptive town.
Went with BRG at the PR for one flight. Got some good stuff like 2 Thorneweald Archers, at least 1 Imperiosaur, and Akroma's Memorial, which proved to be a bomb with Thornewealds, Evil Eye of Urborg, Skizzik Surger, etc. Went 3-1, busted 6 packs and got crap, but it was fun nonetheless.
@Chubs: Preach it, bro. Same goes in the orchestra. We're playing Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings: Pezzo in forma di sonatina...whoo! Nice little challenge on our part. I feel sorry for the cello section, though. Our cellists are ones that never practice. And the section leader, my good friend Andrew, has GHP and all-state on his mind, and he has to try and teach the kids to play Tchaikovsky. That's worse, even than MY situation.
@Priest: Drop her. If she's putting you through that much pain, drop it. No girl is worth the pain. You can't have a relationship if you love her, but she ain't sendin' anything back, or is constantly backstabbing you. Harsh, but true. I've been through the same shtick.
@Tomorrow: Big day tomorrow. All state auditions. I'm not too worried about it, though, as the excerpts are fairly easy. It's just my current bass I'm worried about. It's a rental that I've had for years, now, and it's time for a new one. However, I won't have a new one by the auditions tomorrow. I very well MIGHT be getting my new one tomorrow, though. REALLY excited.
@madcap: If I didn't already say it, welcome. Always love getting a new member.
@best band '06: Not too many choices. All bands are just the same style of bands that were popular a few years ago. Nothing more, nothing less.
I like what is right, but I also like to do things quickly. Sometimes I'm quick to anger, but usually I'm calm and want to settle things rather than start them.
".....That'll do," Ricky said, slightly confused. He swigged down the drink, feeling a little more energetic. He followed up by asking, "Do you know where a man could get a job around here? I'm a warrior by nature, and I have a new friend with me, so I'd like to know of a place where we can both get some action."
Good news though! I learned the solo to stricken, so that was cool. Then my band directer heard me practicing stuff in one of the practice rooms and he told me to join the jazz improv class right there, it was fun but I really really suck at improv. Any suggestions?
Cool cool, chubs. I like doing improv. The way I do it is whatever comes to mind. It's jazz, too, so jazz improv translates into no rules. The only rule I can think of is stay in the right key, and everything will be good. If you can't think of anything, just do a bunch of scales and arpeggios in random order, and it should be good.

"Sounds like a winner to me." Ricky finished off the milk, and made his way for the door.
Hiran followed up behind him, saying, I could've told you all of that.
"I know that. I just needed the drink." He then stopped, looked back to the bartender and said, do I owe you anything for the drink?"

I DID like The Fray, though.
Silver Knight - 3
Soltari Priest - 5
Jotun Grunt - 1
Huh...forgot Jotun Grunt was an uncommon. Weird...
"New arena eh?" Ricky asked, taking a swig of his milk. "Where would I find this new arena?"

Can we preview Magus of the Wak-Wak tomorrow?
Mother of Runes will get my vote too.
Mother of Runes - 3
Silver Knight - 2
Soltari Priest - 2
Metallic Sliver - 2
Frogmite - 6
Myr Servitor - 1
Sorry for my absence. This is way too split. I'll just call it on Frogmite.
Now, I believe it's time for white uncommon creature. ASSUME THE VOTE-LEECH POSITION!! *assumes position*
