What I find strange is how much more compelling a lot of the Magic worlds are than the D&D worlds (which feel so generic and bland in comparison). I don't mean to piss off any D&D players, but settings like Zendikar, Mirrodin, Innistrad and Theros just seem so much more interesting and memorable to me than anything from Forgotten Realms, Ravenloft or Dragonlance.
Maybe it's because D&D settings have often been around for so much longer, that they have incorporated more and more story elements making each setting less distinct, or maybe Wizards has learnt from D&D world building mistakes or something. I don't know for sure why, but for some reason I am much more interested in roleplaying one of the aforementioned Magic settings than anything done specifically for D&D.
Maybe it's simply due to the fact that you are drawn more towards the magic settings and you know them more in details.
Maybe you are not informed about d&d settings so well, stating that Ravenloft, FR and Dragonlance are bland and looks the same is an extreme overstatement just like comparing Innistrad, Zendikar and Alara(Bant) respectively (the exemple I used reference as a setting based on horror and dread tones, a more classic fantasy/adventure world and a still fantasy but more epic/chivalry world). Some of the D&D settings are extremely detaild and unique.
Ice storm is unlikely as land destruction is no longer a green part of the pie
It really is still part of green's part of the pie, Reclaiming Vines was just in BFZ and before that we had a couple cards in Theros block that could destroy lands, in mono green.
Uhm, I must have overlooked them, I came back recently after a long hiatus so I still forget some more recent cards. well, if LD is still secondary in green (red still being primary i hope) I can see Ice Storm more probable in EMA
I'm mostly ok with this list save a few cards:
Mox Diamond is on the reserved list
Liliana of the Veil, Blood Moon and Snapcaster will be probabily be saved for the next Modern Master set
Skullclamp and Sol Ring are reprinted in nearly every commander prduct and are widely available, the only reason to have them in EMA is to have a new foil version
Having both Cabal and Dark ritual can be a little too much (considering limited gameplay)
Ice storm is unlikely as land destruction is no longer a green part of the pie
the number of the card is 103 considering Crow of Dark Tidings at 105 "Call" "Convene" or "Convoke" are all possible, but nothing not starting with a C (so no "Muster" or "Gather")
Name: Convoke the kin
Flavour: In response to Sorin's call, Olivia Voldaren resorted to the full power of her kin, convoking every member to Lurenbraum Fortress
Thats the link I saw. Seems sketchy for sure. I understand why Chain Lightning is a mythic if bolt is going to be in this set. They don't want draft to get ruined by the guy playing Burn. The list makes sense as far as I can tell. Yes there's some questionable stuff like port at mythic and wasteland at rare, and jitte/skull both at rare but... I dunno. It seems like just enough value to not be over the top, but justify the 9.99 msrp. If it's true, I'm pretty happy with it. If not, it makes me wonder. I'm pretty solid in the fact that I don't think Zendikar fetches will be I'm this set regardless of "verbal confirmation." It just doesn't make sense from wotc's perspective. They'll probably be printed in standard to sell a subpar set in the next year or so.
CL at mythic is completely wrong, LB has been reprinted recently (M10 iirc) so I don't see ite reprinted in EMA, CL is the right choice for a red common slot in EMA
it also has 5 blue myhics (15 totals), no green ones and only 1 white/red. even if the scroll was an error the unbalance for the mythics is a confirmation of fake.
Concenring doubling season (I can see it reprinted at rare as the original) has been stated that EMA will also have some EHD worthy card (EDH is more casual but it's considered an eternal format)
Reanimate is sorcery
we alredy have Crypt and Chrome Mox, it seems unlikely to have other 0mana artifact that grants mana
Sylvan Library
Chain Lightning
Stoneforge Mystic
Cabal Therapy
Show&Tell
Will NOT be
Ponder
Deathrite Shaman
Thoughtseize
Aether Vial
Phyrexian Revoker

Same goes for Jace and Chandra homeplane Vryn and Kaladesh

1, Discard a card: Put a 1/1 black Vampire Knight token with Lifelink into play. Play this ability only once each turn
considering the "unravel the madness" quote I think it's a preview to officially confirm the return of madness (hopefully not Fiery Temper)
THIS is a very good-looking and solid list for some C/UC slot.
sure, but it's not valued/influential enough to be shifted from uncommon to rare, maybe it is in EMA but in UC slot
