I run Elesh Norn in my karador deck and its the bomb. They have similar strategies. But I have access to green mana dudes and you dont. You might want to just stay away from 7 drops if your not running green. I dont touch 7 in marchesa (cutting Thraximundar hurt my soul lol) Elspeth is probably what I would go with.
What is your opinion on Priest of the Blood Rite from origins? I really like him but I have a feeling im the only one He would work well in Alesha, in fact he may have been made for her. Im thinking of putting him in Marchesa as well.
Ok, I have spent some time looking at the curves of non-green aggro dualcommander decks on mtgtop8.com
I looked at 5 different decklists. Sygg, Grenzo, Krenko, Zurgo, and Yu Ke's Marchesa decklist.
I then averaged the 5 curves together and adjusted it slightly to come up with this curve:
Lands: 36
1: 16
2: 19
3: 16
4: 9
5: 3
I'm going to see if I can mold my list to this curve. Expect an update soon
Edit: Decklist is now updated to match the curve. I wasn't to sure what to put in for all those 1 drops so i put in a bunch of the counters 3 drinks recommended a while ago.
Grand Abolisher and Sin Collector aren't very aggressive, I ended up taking them out of my Karador deck. I know that the meta is often draw go control, but you don't want to run cards that are just bad against another aggro deck.
I know you disagree on this but Kolaghan's Command is amazing. I just have to put it out there.
no swords?
Phyresis could be a nice way to give your general Infect.
Hand of the Praetors could be good depending on how many infect creatures you run. But 3 power so i can see why you wouldn't use it.
Hero of Oxid Ridge, Márton Stromgald or anything else that pumps up infect creatures could win you the game right then and there. The former probably being the better choice with the haste surprise factor. The latter being recurable with Alesha
Man, i think the possabilaty of making a 5/5 demon on each players turn trumps tapping flyers (even with haste). I think that this demon is better then stormbreath in a deck that loves recycling etb effects. Maybe its just me but he seems pretty game winning if not stopped. I'm saying this more from a dualcommander perspective. I could see him being very anti-political in multiplayer.
Ya, nothing for me. The dragon is still the only card I'll slot.
Really? Im not feeling the dragon. To much of a guaranteed downside for a possable upside for my liking. I would rather run Mindless Automaton. Him + Marchesa = a card on every PLAYERS turn.
Slithermuse is another option. Your playing blue and black which are the best colours for card draw. I think the dragon in meant for decks without that luxury.
If you think that your going to play out your hand really fast and just want a way to draw cards once your hellbent Blood Scrivener is probably better.
You are probably correct as far as solrune's list is concerned. Disciple is bad in his list (forgot how few sorcery/instants he runs) and the Priest is probably underwhelming for multiplayer. Im still really interested in him for duals
Yes I have, I have studied his first list intensively and was very happy to see a second one posted not to long ago. I believe I posted the decklist already in the thread but thanks anyway. Was there anything in particular you liked about it that I'm not already running?
He's not running any counterspells. Thats interesting. As a 1v1 deck in the most cutthroat of metas with access to blue I'm pretty shocked he has none. Otherwise I get it. Also Unleash is pretty awesome in 1v1.
He's also not using unspeakable symbol which is interesting. When I was testing the symbol out in 1v1 i actually took it out because it wasn't solid as a non-creature permanent. I found there were times when I had unlucky opening hands where I drew no creatures yet this thing was in my hand. I found myself hating it in those scenarios. I put it back because in this thread lots of people recommended i use it again, but after seeing a pro marchesa list take it out I'm tempted to do the same. Am i crazy?
3Drinks, aside from the lack of counterspells, what do you think of the decklist? Im interested in his curve, no 6 drops and only two or three 5 drops and no mana rocks. Looks kinda like your Alesha and Bellstriker lists (curve wise) I kinda like the idea. I find that mana rocks slow down my tempo a bit.

Its to bad because i JUST bought one and the Johnny in me says nooooo dont take it out, the COMBOS. But the spike in me realizes your correct. I dont run Cryptic Comand for the same reason.
After all the adjustments I have made, whats your stance on Kiki-Jiki? I know you didn't like him before when i ran like 9 Legos. I cut it down to 5, 6 if you include Marchesa. How many Legos are to many?

Good luck with the testing.

4 - 9
5 - 4
My curve
Lands - 37
1 - 10
2 - 22
3 - 14
4 - 9

What are your thoughts on these guys for Marchesa? Both seem pretty awesome to me.
Edit: Decimator, looks like you posted as I was typing so i didnt see your post. But he seems pretty bomb to me.

Edit: Ill but Sidisi back in Kiki's place
What do you think of Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed for this deck?
