That makes sense, especially considering Rakdos, Lord of Riots. I just hope new Rakdos (demon) is more focused this time around. I don't want to bash him too much for those who like him, but to me, I couldn't decide if he wanted me to play big creatures or burn. Imo, it's awkward. IMO it is a alternative cost once damage is dealt to a oponent or a kind of Morbid.
From thos spoilers we know that the AABB creature for Rakdos does not have spectacle. From guilds we had Izzet: C Drake, it counts magics in graveyard and exile: jumpstart will always make it big.
Dimir does not have surveil, in fact it don't even suport the mechanic.
Selesnya: creates tokens that helps paying for convoke
Boros: has mentor
Golgari: returns a card from graveyard, helps with the self mill subtheme.
We can see the Rakdos RRBB uncommon creature has a ability to deal damage to a oponent once it etb and maybe deal damage to a creature. imo the guild ability has something about with this etb ability.

Its essentially a creature heavy dredge deck that wants to use Jarad to sac fat dudes like Golgari Grave-Troll and Centaur Vinecrasher
Edit: Also, I'm not personally doing this cause my deck is more for fun casual games, but otherwise you can do some mean stuff with Hatred and Wall of Blood
Dec 15, 2018Lyra, New Bruna and Kaalia seem to be the only generals with angel tribal synergy. Id personally go with Kaalia. Idk why people think it's so degenerate. Its good, don't get me wrong but there are far more degerate decks out there imo. As 3drinks said, there are ways to keep her around. Dec 9, 2018In my opinion, that list could benefit from more Ramp. In my experience TSG is a very mana hungry general. Id recommend like 12+ pieces of ramp (10 min). Massacre Worm is neat but might I suggest Pestilence Demon instead? Being able to kill more things for more than one turn is worth it imo. No Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur? He is hands down theee reanimator target. Mulldrifter is overrated imo. There are much better forms of card draw such as the aformentioned Jin-Git.Posted in: Commander (EDH)
A couple neat pieces of tech that I have found useful and game winning in my experience are Keeper of Keys and Kindred Dominance. Keeper is usually kinda meh but being able to reanimate it on an opponents end step for immediate mass unblockable on your turn in nice, not to mention the monarch cantrip. steel Hellkite is another one that can really benefit from TSG's instant speed reanimation. Both of these cards ususally die before you can use them on your next turn.
Kindred Dominance is nice when you pick zombie. You get to keep your undead reanimated zombies and scarab just bounces to your hand.
Intuition/Buried Alive/Corpse Connoisseur are all nice in here too.
Why are you playing pack rat? Imo its only good in mass discard decks.
Hostage Taker is one of very few ways for Dimir to deal with resolved artifacts.
Also, Razaketh, the Foulblooded just because. That said, he can be a touch slow as you often need to pay 4 scarabs abulity to get a sac target which is quite a bit. Ymmv
Edit: My list currently runs almost 20 instants because I want to do as much as I possibly can at instant speed since I have a sweet mana sink via TSG to throw mana at if I don't want to play em. Like, I can hold mana open for a counterspell and if nothing I want to counter shows up, I can just dump that mana elsewhere. This type of thing works with all instants, It gives you even more flexibility which is what you want in control..
I really like Kokusho in my Chainer, Dementia Master deck cause I can sac/reanimate him multiple times. Idk if you're getting enough value out of a single trigger (edit 2, wait, i guess its potentially 2. Still though)
