I thought that the first Legendary Phoenix Should be multi-colored to make an interesting general for Commander/Tiny Leaders. Rueben pointed out that this design was trying to do 2 things that were at odds with each other and the mana cost was off balance and restrictive.
My second iteration fixed the mana cost and ditched the trumpet blast style of effect and led to this version:
