How does Jace answer either of those cards? If you mean that he'll draw you into them, then I can see what you're getting at. The only problem, though, is that he generally won't draw you many cards because Planeswalkers are inherently bad against Faeries, and that's why I say that even that particular one is "balls" against them.

Yeah I was talking about drawing cards, why are PW's inherently bad Vs. Fae??

No offense, but you'll never beat a competent Faeries player with that list, especially game one. Broodmate Dragon in and of itself was the only reason that 5CC could ever actually win a game vs Fae, and you've pushed it to the SB in favor of cards that are absolute balls against them (Ajani Vengeant, Jace Beleren, Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker, etc). I mean, you even cut a Broken Ambitions. If you'd added Cloudthresher or something I'd have felt better about it, but as of now you'll just roll over in that match-up. If you're okay with that, then the list seems alright (although Bant Charm and Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker don't seem right at all...).

That's what a friend of mine said, and I agreed, Bant Charm was getting tested as a situational counter\removal just to up the count as i was getting bashed by sculler from BW and Doran, it'll prolly be going back to the ambitions and Nicol Bolas will go back to min 1 broodmate. Overall, right now especially with the events coming up and the way the field has diversified I still think Fae is the best deck (either it or BW Tokens), but the numbers will be a little less than what we saw in Kyoto, so shaving some percentages here Vs. them seems ok. Also I dont think Jace is bad Vs. them as having ways to answer Bitterblossom and Mistbind seem to be the most important things to to

I haven't posted in awhile, but I think this is the deck I'll be playing for the first PTQ's and Regionals (either this or BW Tokens). Just looking for some opinions, I read some other pages and took a look around. I'm personally not really a fan of broodmate and like these kill conditions better, but I think he's better outta the board for non-U, non-token MU's.

So is this deck still even relevant without persecute, because Agonizing Memories seems like your prolonging threats instead of removing them and in most circles that pretty bad

Like I no pro or expert, but Slaughter Pact seems like the best answer in the format to Gargadon if I'm not mistaken. The mono black deck ususally splash blue and are quite good, and Word of Seizing is fine Vs. them it kills Korlash and lets u use Tombstalker and Twisted Abom. against them. Also mana ramp is the decks worst match up and near unwinnable.

Your list seems like it's trying to strech itself much to far. Maybe removing void would streamline it a bit and give you a better mana base. Also making it purely mono black ala discard and aggresive guys would also be good. I personally do that splashing Aeon Chronicler and it has been working great.

Isn't Thick Skin Goblin just stickly superior to Blood Knight?? It pays echo on Riders and Mogg War Marshal and it has pro-red nullifying Gargadon and making the mirror better. Blood Knight dies to every spell and every creature in the mirror except Mogg War Marshal and Magus. Also I think ever removing Disentegrate is a big mistake, it gives you late game reach and also kills emmisarry, Wall of Roots, and other fatties. Lastly WW is a good match up anyway you put it, they have no threatening spells now that their cutting Soltari Priest.

I'm definately playing Mono Black splahing Aeon Chronicler. It's actually crushing most other decks in testing decidedly. Feuerdrache, what list of RDW are you playing, could you post it??

I have been playing a lot of matches with this deck, and I have found the list that I've been playing to have a good match up Vs. most decks that aren't UGr shifter. Teferi and White Weenie are especially good match ups and mono red and RG LD are about 50\50.

    10 Swamps
    4 Terramorphic Expanse
    3 Dreadship Reef
    2 Molten Slagheap
    2 Urza's Factory
    2 Urborg, Tomb Of Yagamoth
    1 Island

    4 Augur of Skulls
    4 Korlash, Heir To Blackblade
    3 Aeon Chronicler
    3 Tombstaker
    2 Twisted Abomination

    4 Damnation
    4 Stupor
    4 Prismatic Lens
    3 Tendrills of Corruption
    3 Slaughter Pact
    2 Phyrexian Totem

    Sideboard
    4 Sudden Death
    3 Detrivore
    3 Extripate
    2 Enslave
    1 Tendrills of Corruption
    1 Slaughter Pact
    1 Mountain

The list is really strong you have the tools to beat the Uxx and the Bxx control decks with, Stupor and Augur, and you can stave off the aggro decks with Damnation, Tendrills, and Slaughter until your big beaters take over.

Like I just finished a couple of sets with this deck Vs. Mono Black control and its nearly impossible to beat a good build. Between 4 pacts, 4 tendrills, and 4 damnations its the nightmare match up for this deck. Maybe we should find a way to beat this deck. And remember friends don't let friends play Browbeat!!

Yeah, I was just trying to get some info on the format beacuse my PTQ is the same weekend as the GP so thats kinda gay. I really like this deck, but now that MBC is getting to be popular we now have to dodge many more wall of roots and tendrills of corruption. Like your build is fine, but after testing Vs. the field browbeat is absolutely not needed and 20-22 guys and 24 lands are a must, especially since your playing 4 disentegrates. Also sudden shock should be ghostfire because its ability is irrelevant Vs. non-black augar guys.

Your two other blue draw spells (hussar and compulsive) are much to important to cut for forsee (which is only good in tron) and more wraths. The aggro match up is not that bad to where you need 5+ effects, then you have a bunch of dead cards Vs. control which are the more heavily played decks now and since they are that makes remand all the more important.
