Obviously Wizards knew exactly what it was doing, 'cause I've been hooked on Magic ever since.
Exactly. That's why drafts have been eliminated. It's an enforcement tool.
That's right. Which is precisely why Wizards has chosen to eliminate drafts as part of prerelease tournaments: To prevent stores from cheating their players out of prizes by using those prizes as draft fodder.
That's just it. The prize structure HAS been standardized across the board. Hence the reason there are no more drafts allowed; such drafts tempted tournament organizers to cheat their players out of prizes that were rightfully theirs (the players').
I just remembered: Yes, prize support is set in stone at two packs per player. (Not that every player gets two packs, of course; but that if, say, 16 people are in a pod, then 32 packs MUST be given out as prize support when the tournament ends.)
I don't know where it's posted on the Internet, but I'm reasonably sure that it's included in the tournament organizers' instructional material that Wizards sends out with their booster packs designated for the prerelease tournaments.
Yes! I'm one and the same. (Mormon Discussions board: http://www.mormondiscussions.com/phpBB3 ) We're still going strong; so please start posting!
That's just it; it's my understanding that Wizards has mandated minimum prizes for prerelease events.
I'd say this is a good move by Wizards. Now people will be more motivated to come and participate in the main event, knowing that they will get their fair share of prize support for a change.
How do you print a foil proxy of a checklist card (or any other card, for that matter)?
Everyone else: Do the deck boxes hold only the original 20 cards, or is there room left over for the cards that you'll add from the booster packs?
Thanks!
If you've just gotten done typing up an entire post, would it kill you to type out the word "probably" correctly? It's only two extra keystrokes!
Do they only hold 20 cards each, or are they a little larger to accommodate the cards you'll add later from the boosters?
I imagine that they have some sort of artwork on the outside. Are the boxes identical art-wise? Is the artwork any good?
I know. They're the "Card Barrier" brand "Perfect Size" sleeves, imported from Japan. They're only $4.49 for 100 sleeves.
Once I started using these, I never went back to normal sleeves. In fact, I use there instead of the regular sleeves, not in addition to them. With these sleeves, they easily fit into two-piece clear plastic baseball card holders. As a matter of fact, a fully-sleeved commander deck fits perfectly into one of the aforementioned 100-count card holders.
Now, on to the order link you're expecting:

Does anyone have a scan of the third one? I'd like to add it to the Great Creature Token Project (linked below); after which it'll be complete and up-to-date.
Ah, so THAT'S my problem. . .
I've also gone through and fixed all the broken links from CardKingdom.com. If any other links are broken, like the black Spider, that's because it went to an attachment here that's been moved or deleted. There's not much I can do about those.
