I looked and looked and couldn't find it.
I'd like to purchase and play with the Faerie Deck that won at Worlds in 2008, but are they available? If not, will Wizards be printing it sometime in the near future?
Thanks for that information, SKRules. Very helpful.
So you're saying I should eBay the shocklands into 10 playsets each, rather than one big sale with all 40 shocklands?
What is all this "Bernie/Bernie" stuff that people keep referencing??
I also own a complete playset of the Ravnica block--four cards each. (Yes, I own five sets of the entire Ravnica block. I fell in love with that block and sunk all my trades and a lot of my disposable income into it.) What would an entire playset be worth?
Last of all, I constructed 10 decks out of these cards, one for each guild. They function like the "Elves vs. Goblins" and the "Jace vs. Chandra" duel decks, serving to teach new players the ropes, being backups in place a potential opponent doesn't have a deck with him or her, etc. I'd really like to keep these decks around if at all possible, so would it be more financially advantageous to:
A) Sell just the 40 shocklands out of the playset and play my 10 decks without them, or
B) Sell the entire playset, then use the money to re-buy only the cards in the 10 decks?
In other words, which method would net me the most money?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
Forgive me, but what on earth is "Barry's Land?"
Where does one go to preorder one of these?
If you were a planeswalker, what would your card say? Have the abilities reflect either your style of play, your favorite cards, or perhaps what you're like as a person. Maybe have the color(s) correspond to your own favorite color(s), whatever. The sky's the limit, but let's not let the cards be too unbalanced (in other words, no "+1: You win the game" or other such nonsense).
I'll start. If I was a planeswalker, this would be my card:
How about you? If you were a planeswalker, what would your card say?
However, in 2007/2008 we had a double-mini block of Lorwyn/Morningtide and Shadowmoor/Eventide. So does Shadowmoor/Eventide also rotate out in October 2009, or will it remain for its full two years and rotate out in April 2010 instead?
Thanks in advance to anyone who knows.
Scion of Oona sort of negates that card, doesn't it?
The Mothdust Changeling is simply another tap condition for the Gilder Bairn.
Garruk seems all about creating an overrun effect. The sweepers you mention wipe out all of Garruk's creatures too. So are you SURE that cards like Wrath of God, Volcanic Fallout, etc. are the best choice?
I'd like to make a five-color deck to utilize as many planeswalkers as possible. I'm not planning to use Tezzeret the Seeker since I won't be running very many artifacts. Also, I don't know whether Ajani Goldmane or Ajani Vengeant is the best choice, or whether I should just run both of them since the odds of drawing them both are not too great.
The idea, of course, is to get as many loyalty counters as possible with Gilder Bairn, perhaps allowing a mega-ability to go off the 1st turn it comes into play. Behold:
24x ?
CREATURES:
4x Gilder Bairn
4x Mothdust Changeling (?)
SPELLS:
1x Ajani Goldmane
1x Ajani Vengeant
1x Chandra Nalaar
1x Elspeth, Knight-Errant
1x Garruk Wildspeaker
1x Jace Beleren
1x Liliana Vess
1x Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker
1x Sarkan Vol
4x Springleaf Drum
4x Oblivion Ring
4x Unmake
7x ?
15x ?
Any ideas for A) what lands I should use, and B) what the remaining seven cards should be?
Other suggestions are always welcome. Thanks in advance for any help!
Click on "The Great Creature Token Project" in my signature line.
You'll find lots and lots of tokens that others have created, not just the official ones, however.
On the front of each deck box was a sketch of the corresponding color's Lorwyn planeswalker--you know, Ajani Goldmane for white, Garruk Wildspeaker for green, etc.--plus a short blurb about what the color does. For example, blue's deck box said, "Blue planeswalkers use mental magic to manipulate and control" or something similar. On the back of each box was an identical message about Magic in general, something like "Collect and trade the cards you need to defeat your opponent" or something like that.
I was told that this is a new product specifically designed to teach newcomers how to play the game. I got the impression that they weren't to be priced and put on the shelves, but merely used for demo purposes. The cashier also said something about them being unveiled at the next Grand Prix (or was it Pro Tour?).
Anyway, does anyone know more about this upcoming product, specifically the card lists? Is it going to be for sale, or strictly for store use only?
The tokens themselves--be they official or fan-generated--are linked wherever they exist.
