I think Identity Crisis is better at "you're not playing" anymore. Mind twist can come out faster though.
I fully agree with what you've said here. Nothing is quite as much of a wrecking ball as Identity Crisis. I actually don't mind being Mind Twisted, as it can sometimes prove better in the end, either through recursion or topdecking when people would think you would be out of interacting with the game for a few more turns.
Three colours. Always. For me, two feels awkward most of the time, it's like driving a 4 speed manual and wanting the overdrive/fifth gear. I'm fortunate enough to have the money for decent mana bases, so finding the right mana is almost never a problem.
The general, for me, is there to compliment the deck and not be relied on too heavily. The exception to this is any general that is U/X or U/X/X and combos on resolution.
I have run it in 3 colour decks and have won off the back of it. Enough to say that getting three cards back is crushing enough in many situations. It's always been one of those cards I've been happy to draw into. That and its splashability is what makes it so good/strong.
It's a core set, so it's difficult to actually say I'm unhappy with what's in store for us so far. Anyone that isn't pleased is probably too demanding. Colorous Pius pretty much nailed it, otherwise. Quitting is always an option if you're unhappy with the game, but I feel it's just pettiness that overwhelms peoples' abilities to assess anything about sets/cards in a way that would help them realize that WotC are not going to have a UW control Standard with Jace 2.0 again/Jund/Faeries dominated meta. That was an unhealthy, prolonged apex in the history of Standard decks anyway. Hell, even Dragonstorm was kinda like that, except there were decks that capably beat it.
Flusterstorm also has the potential to get the job done. It may not help during the late game when 10+ mana is available to the wander player, but if their goal is ramp and cast as soon as possible this will ruin the day.
I wouldn't even bother with 'Fluster. Only being able to potentially (because for all intents and purposes, it could even be a progressive turn by turn ramp or mana rock ramp into him, who knows) stop the ramp/cascaded spells ain't gonna cut it.
Prereleases have been $40 for as long as I remember at my LGS...
Being Australian myself, it is a fair price - they have to factor in postage to another country and prize support (yes, they do send in bulk, obviously, but still...)
Up until around Mirrodin Besieged, it was $35 since I started playing in my area.
I personally rate him as the best Garruk in EDH. 1.0 just seems too small or insignificant to change the game as much as 2.0 can... the card draw (provided you can recur him, on top) is nuts. Untapping lands into an Overrun seems cute and all, but amounts to very little in all the games I've played with 1.0 on the other side of the field, so it's strange to read people still rate 1.0 as better than 2.0 (and yes, I know he only has to sit one turn to Overrun, but rarely does any 'walker sit at the games I play even long enough to be used a second time around. Also, spewing out tokens with a + ability seems more applicable in the absence of evasive dudes on the other side.
You should also note that, unlike Conquering Manticore, the Conscripts DON'T specify an opposing permanent. So you can target your own Kiki-jiki, untapping him and allowing you to make another conscripts, untapping him and etc etc. Mono-red now has it's own Kiki-mite combo.
It's just a shame that he's not 2 power and/or a Goblin, as mono-red has no good way to tutor him.
I did at least think of the untapping of my own permanents, however that combo to produce infinite dudes isn't my idea of EDH (and yes, I'm quite familiar with Pestermite and friends :)). Probably should have mentioned it in my previous post, ah well.
As an aside, I ain't really a fan of mono coloured decks in the first place and have since changed Nomnath to Gaddock Teeg Voltron

Zealous Conscripts is also another card I'd like to find room for... gaining control of ANY non-shroud/hexproof/pro red permanent seems all too good, especially when you can recur it via Erratic Portal and Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker

Very yes. I was exceptionally disappointed that there was no inbuilt untap ability, although that was probably asking too much

Effectively, it can provide similar results to that of LD, but is still a less harsh way of making all lands go bye-bye.
