Yea, I suppose "by sources" in the first sentence is sufficient to treat simultaneous combat damage from multiple creatures as separate prevention events.
Yeah, sure. I dont object to some permanent that says "whenever damage is prevented do something...." triggering three times. What I object to is the idea that Channel Harm doesn't add up simultaneously prevented damage and then go ahead with its' "may deal that much damage to target creature" where "that much" is the added up damage.

MTG has its audience. Trying to grow it out to include to bro-Steve and Aunt Janice isn't going to do anything good for it. The more you attempt to appeal to everyone, the more you appeal to no one at all. This is a basic concept.

You can't please all of the people all of the time. This exact concept is why I roll my eyes when I see articles like "How can we get demographic XYZ into Magic?". It's silly. Pandering gets you an audience that can be pandered to. That audience is very fickle, and is likely to leave for the next thing that panders to them.

At least we'll all be able to afford some of those staple cards we want once this bubble bursts, and WotC has driven away a chunk of the long time players too by making such generic sets.
Probably the best "conversation" I have seen at mtgsalvation, and I am much more in the Firevine camp than in the norsedt camp.

If a friend that watches you play spot a bug that you dont, can you then file for compensation ?
If you talk to someone about modo and games/matches you have played, and as a result you become aware that there was a bug in a game you played, can you then file for compensation ? How about this conversation happening 5 months after the game with bug in mind ? How about 5 years later ?

How about replays, if they don't work, can you then demand compensation for all the paid events that you have entered that dont have all the replays working ? Do replays count for anything at all in connection with the topic at hand ?

What is the conclusion in this thread ?
    - that Channel Harm deals 0 or 9 damage ?
    - that Channel Harm deals 0, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 9 damage ?
    - or that it is unknown what it should deal ?

Of course it's going to go up. Its' going to keep going up until they see an attendance drop.
That is a pretty poor way to look at it.
Along the same lines this means that attendance has risen BECAUSE prices has risen, which is absurd.

You literally just have to say something happened. I've done that and not attached picture proof and gotten compensated. I've not lied about it happening, but you literally just have to say it happened, and they'll take your word for it. Like I said, its automated. Occasionally you may have an actual person look at the requests, but for the most part, they don't.
What you write means nothing to this thread. It is about bugs that are not spotted.

The only mass refunds I know of are when the servers crash in the middle of events. Then they refund all the people in the events.

The alternative art Ugin card was kind of a refund.

Doing what you want would take up a lot of resources. I think those resources could better be used fixing the problems and making new features.
Looking at it your way completely dissolves/ignores regulations tied up to a taxed purchase which all salesmen/companies must abide by.

The problem I am having is that while the creature is turned to frog at a point, the source that did that is not around anymore
    ...

A 0/2 frog with Deathtouch and a Mogg Conscript with Mind Control that in practice there is no point in act of treasoning is what is wanted, magic is better that way, imo.

Giant Growth ? There is no problem with giant growthing whether with your rules or mine =)

    Let me turn the problem around;
Has wotc customer service ever given compensation to someone for a bug that the user never
reported ? An in connection with this; Should the mtgo team seek for repeat bug incidents
when a card like Watchdog is bugged during one week Tempest/Stronghold/Exodus
flashback draft, and it is abundantly clear for them that there is a bug with the card because
experienced modo users spam their customer service with requests for precisely that card.

What is WotCs' rights when they knowingly put products out for sale that are bugged ?

The compensation process is mostly automated. Why? Because bugs and server issues crop up all the time, and they are not looking all too closely at them. However it is up to the user to file for compensation after the bug/server issue/whatever. If you do not file, you don't get compensation. From what people have been able to figure out, generally they will allow for 5 compensation requests a week, then auto deny anything after that, even if they are legitimate compensation requests. This has changed in some situations, due to high profile reddit posts blasting them over Wizards denying compensation when the client was legitimately that bugged.

TLDR: Compensation requests are automated, and the burden is on the user to report the bugs, not prove them.
But you have to "prove them to yourself" in order to send in compensation, right ? You don't send in a compensation request just in case there was a bug, do you ?

Imo the logic is that the Bow wins over Turn to Frog.

I think the problem you are having is that you are thinking that Bow of Nylea has an ability that triggers when the creatures attack since it says "Attacking creatures you control have deathtouch." This is not correct. Triggered abilities all use the words when, whenever, or at. Bow's ability is a static ability that only applies to attacking creatures. As such there is nothing triggering and you simply refer to the timestamp of the bow, which in this case is before the turn to frog. Hence the creature will not have deathtouch.
    Incorrect.
The problem I am having is that while the creature is turned to frog at a point, the source that did that is not around anymore to see to that it stays a(n) (ordinary) frog. Bow of Nylea on the other hand stays there through the entire process keeping an eye out that the creatures he aids really have deathtouch at all times during the battlephase.

In the medevial ages when they still did wizardry the magicians were split in two; those who did split second magic and those who did static magic. The tone between the two camps were sharp and pretty hostile, a split second magician never visited inns and pubs that were inhabited by static wizards, and vice versa.

Some bugs are easy to spot, and some bugs are not easy to spot.
Sometimes the bug has great impact, sometimes it has little impact.

Other threads/comments have discussed bugs that are spotted, and how users exploit or how wotc service is offensive.

But lets talk some other bugs; the bugs that aren't spotted*. Typically new(er) users dont always see the bug, a bug that very well might decide the game/match. Should a mtgo user have the right to demand that wotc go through all their paid games and look for bugs ? And if this isn't possible; Should Wotc pay back some percentage of money/tix just in case some of those paid games/matches were decided by or negatively affected by a bug ?

Is the burden on the user to prove bug(s) ?

(* If Joe Schmoe from Outwhereville Australia doesn't notice a Brainstorm bug when playing on modo, and doesn't read related sites where the bug is (often) written about, then that bug is defined as *not spotted*.)

From the IPG - "if an object changing zone is put into the wrong zone, the identity of the object was known to all players, and it can be moved without disrupting the state of the game, put the object in the correct zone"

What you did was correct, but you should have called a judge to rectify it

Are you sure that ipg reference isn't only for stuff that have just happened and not several turns later ?

Modo functions the way that you can choose between 0, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 9 damage, which means it asks for every source Channel Harm prevented damage from.

I dont see how the rules allows for this, and am of the opinion that Channel Harm deals all or nothing in cases of combat damage from multiple creatures, and when preventing pyroclasm damage(and similar cards/effects) to several creatures.
