Jun 16, 2019it would tighten up the deck, but i'd run manamorphose if you need more ways to get the black you need for turn 3, Vraska.Posted in: Big Mana
I've used it a few time in the past for getting my traverse the ulvenwald delirium.
Jul 9, 2018A lot of devotion decks have the splash for moon and kessig, I'm thinking it also warrents replacing oath of nissa possibly with faithless looting.Posted in: Big Mana
such a swap has a lot of appeal to me these days cause of nitch situations like that where you can't get you summoner's pact. further more filtering away late game dead draws such as land or extra mana dorks.
Jul 2, 2018Hey guys I wanted to leave my latest Devotion list here, Its kind of a Hybrid strategy between Ponza and Devotion. Has a tool box using eldritch evolution. So far i've really liked its performance.Posted in: Big Mana

urza's mine urza's tower
for the lands to produce the extra mana, do they check for subtype or card name?
its confusing because the cards have the same words in both spots. so i'm not sure which part of the cards the mana ability is looking for on the battlefield to have tron turned on.
Jun 20, 2018question in phyrexian scriptures or any of the other sagas. is says "sacrifice after III". does this implay after the 3rd counter is added? or after the resolution of the III ability?Posted in: Magic Rulings
I'm wondering if I can put the 3rd counter on sacrifice vampire hexmage or anything that removes counters in response to the III ability triggering and set the saga back without having to sacrifice the saga itself, while still getting the III ability at the same time....

filler cards like mishra's bauble and manamorphose seem to make a difference if you wanna keep the list tight and win that turn. doing so might cust makeshift mannequin for the through the breach seeing as you want hulk to die at end of turn.
grixis does have pieces of the puzzle, that does provide really good digging. I just wish it wasn't 5 mana.
May 20, 2018I'll give night's whisper a try. losing life seems bad in my meta. I have a lot of humans, burn and other wierd aggroPosted in: Combo
Nezahal, Primal Tide is interesting, takes a lot of cards to pull it off.
Torgaar, Famine Incarnate seems interesting, it sets up right Hidetsugu's Second Rite, while reanimating Torgaar for that seems good, it starts to get into a second deck concept.
I've been wanting try flayer of the hatebound I thought there could be something too it. but as you already said about him.
May 19, 2018is there a link to the list, I'm having a hard time finding it in the recent posts....Posted in: Big Mana
May 17, 2018Posted in: Big ManaQuote from CurdBros »Sam Black wrote about "Company Green Devotion" today:
It literally takes all of those 3-drops we keep talking about and jams them all together.
Also uses Knight of Reliquary (which I love). I was worried KOR would be too slow; but Butakov has a TON of trophies (more than anyone on MTGO I think); so if he is playing it than it has to be pretty darn good.
Exciting to see this list. I like the outside of the box thinking (of Company instead of Garruk and no Oath of Nissa)...now I love me some Garruk (and I don't see myself removing him any time soon); but nothing should be sacred...and lists like these can help breath new life into our thought processes!

I like the idea of the land tutor in KofR, but I still think you need 1 kessig wolf run so that Knight is punching through.
