Not true in the slightest. It would just need an appropriate cost. feels like a reasonable cost to negative wheel and damage, maybe decrease the cost of casting by 1.Quote from Kryptnyt »Guys if you draw one less the card becomes unplayable garbage

The ruling on Hushbring is consistent with the ruling on TeysaQuote from davidb32 »Quote from peteroupc »
Just as an aside, it's the same principle that arguably allows triggered abilities of the form "Whenever you sacrifice..." (e.g., Savra, Queen of the Golgari) to trigger more than once due to Teysa Karlov (or not to trigger due to Hushbringer), because sacrificing a creature includes putting that creature into the graveyard (C.R. 701.17a).
Actually:10/4/2019 An ability that triggers on an event that causes a creature to die will still trigger. For example, an ability that triggers “whenever you sacrifice a creature” still triggers.
This card's rulings are all over the place. Either the card cares about the trigger condition or it cares about the result of the event. It can't have it both ways based on the case by case whim of Wizard's R&D/Rules Management.
Teysa - An ability that triggers on an event that causes a creature to die doesn’t trigger twice. For example, an ability that triggers “whenever you sacrifice a creature” triggers only once.Hushbringer - An ability that triggers on an event that causes a creature to die will still trigger. For example, an ability that triggers “whenever you sacrifice a creature” still triggers.
Neither care about the event "a creature was sacrificed".
Sep 6, 2021I had no idea what your card did until reading your explanation. I think a cleaner fix would be "Creatures can't be destroyed by damage during combat." This replicates essentially all of the value of damage on the stack by allowing you to act after the damage has been dealt. I'm sure there are corner cases where you get different results but I believe for the most part it accomplishes the same thing. Also hoses first strike.Posted in: Custom Card Creation

Not the same. It's actually quite different. It only tracks the player whose turn it is so you can't interfere with the opponent transforming. However, the shift from day to night changes everyone's cards. While subtle there is a world of difference between the old and new werewolf mechanic.Quote from Evil Never Dies »"new" mechanic? Oh please, they just keyworded to be more in flavor the identical mechanic that all innistradi werewolf already had
Aug 30, 2021Rumblehoof has a problem with their ability. Tracking p/t to grant an ability doesn't function properly in the rules. Because you are granting an effect in layer 6 while checking for the results of calculations in layer 7 the game kind of falls apart and ceases to function.Posted in: Custom Card Creation
Is it your intent for Wanderstroll to always be able to cast the few instant and sorcerys with subtypes? Not really a problem I just want to know it its intentional or not.
Bamroot, haste with the etb or attack trigger is quite significant. It might be too much.
Stexi might be an excessive amount of color fixing in those colors. Just counting and sacing artifacts(while still making treasure) gives it similar flavor while keeping a lid on the strong synergies this color combination has with artifacts.
Aug 25, 2021Always being a creature is a huge downside that makes this set rather unappealing to assemble. Giving at 0 cost ability that animates it and tweaking the other two to work without it being unanimated. Such as putting the counter on any artifact or land and maybe just tapping for two. Makes this at least appealing if still questionable on how good.Posted in: Custom Card Creation
Aug 9, 2021I get a strange feeling you think the card does something different than what is written. As is its about 4 to 6 mana too cheap for its effect of Counterspell, Parallectric Feedback, Fork+. I don't actually know what the text about it being countered is supposed to do so it may even be as much as 8 undercosted.Posted in: Custom Card Creation
It's definitely a crazy card, both in effect and powerlevel. MWU laid out some possible mistakes that could significantly change the value of the card but the card is insanely strong regardless.
Aug 1, 2021This might be your best designed card yet. It has a significant draw back but not so harsh as so lose the game if you lose this creature. The stat line is large enough to require two creatures on curve to take it down. And the haste trample combo is the best legal green keyword combo available. All this without crossing into absurd territory. The only criticism I feel like leveling at it is the use of the word dungeon in its name right after we introduce the dungeon mechanic and it has no correlation. Bravo 9/10.Posted in: Custom Card Creation

That sounds like a bug. Alternatively are you sure your opponent didn't control two havens and you clicked on the wrong one?Quote from goodoldtimes »Hi everybody, I found this page searching for faceless haven combo. My opponent did this combo on Arena, and I played Kiora bests the sea god. But instead of me getting control faceless haven, the game copied faceless haven, gave me the copy, and my opponent kept his.
Is this a bug or what?

This is such a perfect quote. It is a crystallization of just how unreasonably wrong you are. I can even see how you drew such an unbelievably wrong notion. While still wrong, once every three opening hands a four-of will appear in your opening hand.Quote from ReapThaWhirlwind »With 4 copies of a card, you will see it once every 3 or so games.
The misassumption that if it isn't in your opening hand then it isn't having an impact on the game shows the massive depth of your lack of understanding.
Look, math is hard. Its fine to not get it. But when you don't get it don't march around like you do. Its harmful for the ill-informed who will see someone proclaiming with confidence incorrect math. They will assume this confidence comes from understanding not foolishness.
Don't dress up your opinion in falsehoods or deceptions simply state at face value. "You don't understand how this game works but you like the ascetic so you want to drape it over your own creation which you have no intention of changing via criticism but you want to show off because you weren't having fun self pleasuring in private."

I mean, a design that does the exact opposite, or counter-balances the effect of another.
I think you do not understand the meaning of one-up. Kinda wish I could downvote you.
Aug 25, 2017It's too easy to say that a little piece of cardboard holds no intrinsic value. It's basically the same thing as saying that a $100 bill has no more intrinsic value than a $1 bill. It doesn't change the fact that currency speculators have a right to be upset with China for artificially inflating their own currency.Posted in: Magic General
All values in all markets are all about perception and are demand-driven. When nobody wants something, it has no value; when millions of people want something and there aren't millions of that item extant, scarcity drives prices up. This is really pretty simple high school level economics.

Or I'm just twisted, that's also a possibility. Since for me hero stopping in the middle of planar catastrophe to rescue one person = hero dooming the unseen people who will die due to catastrophe not being terminated in time. Something like hero deciding "it's okay if more people will die as long as I won't personally see it". My biggest complaint will be to Gideon getting distracted by the events on Ravnica.
I don't think he meant that only sane people like Gideon and those who don't are insane. Just that there are those who are normal, sane people who like Gideon despite the flaws that people like me have pointed out.

Looks like we are going to get the answer to what happened between Nahiri and Sorin sooner rather than later (and likely I imagine the answer to if/how she survived the mending). I also found it kind of interesting that other than using the eye, the Eldrazi's prison could be affected.
