Hmmm, didn't Gideon say his home was destroyed? Maybe Gideon's home was the kingdom destroyed by Heliod? Perhaps they had a somewhat different culture than the rest of Theros, perhaps partly due to being on an island, and partly due to visiting of a planeswalker who was the mentor of Gideon's mentor, and because of this were less respectful of the gods and perhaps Heliod in particular. Maybe Gideon's indestructibility trait tendency is partly because he had to survive a Wrath of God at some point, after returning to his home-world after early walks?
I'm lame and don't have a link, but I seem to remember MaRo on blogatog saying that the intro to Duels 2012 was made by the people who produced the video game, and that Wizards didn't really have any input. He also said that after that they started watching things like that more carefully.
According to this poll, 52.9% of voters say yes, and 52.9% of voters say no. Seems legit.
I vote no, Zendikar's a cool plane and I doubt they'd want to burn too many bridges after Old Tarkir and Mirrodin got fried. It just doesn't make sense to me.
I need help with my deck, but I'm new. Is this the correct place to post this?
I've got a Jeskai Prowess deck I built. I love the Jeskai flavor-wise, and built this because I wanted something fun and flavorful to play casually. I'm looking to try out an FNM, however, and want to make something a little better. Since I'm just going to be doing casual and a little FNM, I don't want to go crazy on the price. When I googled budget Jeskai decks, I kept seeing things like "look at this deck I built on a low budget of $100!" o_0. If I was going to bigger events it'd be different, but I'd like some advice on how to improve my deck while still keeping to cards that are fairly affordable (as in like no more than a dollar per card- two if absolutely necessary).
The cards I already have in this deck that are pricier were either lucky trades or lucky draws at a PreRelease. I've done sealed events but not constructed before. My deck's a tad hodgepodgey, but that's because I mostly just went with what I could trade for or buy cheaply from my local card shop.
Hey, all! I'm a Magic fan and a casual player, saw this "introduce yourself" thingy and thought I'd do just that. I was actually going to look for some advice on Wizard's forums but, ah, well, I just got tired of putting up with the servers not letting me log in. Looks like I'll be here from now on! So, ah, cool.
