I've done fairly well with budget decks against the "top tier decks". Mono black control is cheap and kicks butt. Budget eldrazi arent bad, same for budget infect (mono green). Like others have said , your skill level plays into it a bunch as well.
Gisa and geralf always clicked with me. 2 siblings that fought each other and broke the family apart.though later reconnected and saved a town together. Family bonds being stronger than hate etc.
Though I wish there was a book on the mindset of the likes of tamiyo, ugin, even emrakul. I think entities that think far outside of the big picture, have an amazing grasp of the world. I envy them.
So my little girl loves jalira, the look, the blue, the turning something into another thing etc . She's only 9 so I'm not sure a full polymorph type deck would work with her. I'm thinking something that focuses on the animal switching theme.

This is something my buddy made for her, but I think he was thinking I was going to use it idk. Any ideas to help keep her intersted in the game I love so much?
bought it on mtgo and love it. just ordered the cards and i want to make this competitive. life goals lol. i really think we need some counters main deck though, control matchups are popping up more frequently in my meta.
have 12 mana, or a jar going into 6 counters and 6 open mana. "flash" in rise using jar and then pay for part the waterveil, and untap and typically win!
considering two titans are dead, and one is wandering the multiverse. who knows if bolas wants them dead and is winning, or wanted them alive and is pissed.
agreed with above. i play the BW version and burn and aggro are by far the hardest matchups. maybe less salt and more learning how to beat decks that you dont enjoy?
What do you guys think of transgress the mind instead of iok or ts? Since it helps exile and disrupts the hand I think it may help to change out a few for testing. It's only one mana more.
I feel like there is hype now for them, so it'll be higher now than say six months or more. Then they'll fall slightly and raise again when collectors start buying a lot again. I say wait, but not too long my till you pick them up.
