so far this isn't doing anything to spark excitement.
another goyf reprint, because thats a card that really needed it. again. i mean i get it, it was born in this block, but its hardly a chase card these days. stuffy doll, serra avenger, both not really doing anything for me either as they're neither highly played nor valuable. we'll see what the rest of the set brings. if its only cards pulled from time spiral block there's no point.
It is designed for draft, so the big question is whether they made a good draft environment.
Plus, there are plenty of other cards that could use a reprint (the secondary market price on Sliver Legion, for instance, is absurd). Hopefully we see some of those.
That and the timeshifted cards bring, at the very least, Chalice of the Void.
Because we all know how good double masters was to draft, a set also "designed" for draft.
well, Tibalt's Trickery in standard isn't "too good" it's just plain stupid....
I guess they allowed it to continue.
maybe generating a degenerate playstyle in which no one has fun is alright as long as such deck doesn't win too much.
They quite literally banned the Modern "Eggs" deck because it took too long and was not fun to play against.
So there is a very real reason to remove decks by banning key cards, if the play pattern they produce is absolute cancer for the game, it just kills any spirit to play.
That doesnt mean any combo deck fills that slot, but especially in Arena, Trickery had to be banned for 1-game play basically instantly, the day they saw the deck become "popular" in standard they could have removed the card instantly and fix the problem at the root, instead they let the wound fester.
yeah... this is true.
I'm all in for banning of Tibalt's Trickery.... that deck generates 100% of bad matches.
it will either straight up win or lose on turn 2 like 80% of the times, it's horrible lol
I'm 8-2,against the deck in standard, they fizzle or sometimes mull to 4 and just concede.
Am I wrong or does this card seem pretty lukewarm against any type of aggro. Putting this card on a creature with summoning sickness and taking "just one hit" is one thing but playing this card on a tapped creature that just attacked you and "taking another hit"... I imagine that would feel pretty bad.
...Then again, the same probably be said for feed the swarm so what do I really know?
Feed kills it, this keeps it on the board so if they can untap it or remove this enchantment it's game over. Feed also targets enchantments.
This card is not good against big creatures, only to tap critters that have abilities that you don't want the opp to use, probably small critters too.
I'm playing him in standard, my current green stompy deck runs 12 deathtouch creatures, with this guy it'll be 16,of them.
Ahead of the curve as always.
Also ram through to deal excess damage to a player will be wild with questing beast or other creature that gets deathtouch and trample.
Can't wait to add this guy to the deck. It'll be the first uncommon I craft.

Yup, can't wait to open me some of these in boosters.

Yup, it will suck to open this in packs, $.50 rare here.
Yeah I missed the reminder text, it is still pretty good in multiple.
