Well... she'll (I usually call elementals he's but this case is special) be great in MGA Force... but I wouldn't run her in MGA Evasion (weenie version... new Gaea's Hymn ^^).

Unless we all go RG Thick-Skinned Aggro with Thick-Skinned Goblin, Flamecore Elemental, Avalanche Riders, Timbermare, and Uktabi Drake.

Err. That doesn't sound right. I was playing back in Alliances-era and while I dont know what the top-tier decks were, I certainly faced the ants many times.

MGA wasn't the most popular thing around... not until Wild Dogs came around did it get serious.

I know it's not THAT great but WE do have Unyaro Bees. And not to screw but... Man, I wish it came back for red, or something. Red REALLY needs a push... Protection from red everywhere... I want Mono-red to be vaible again. Frown

RED NEEDS BETTER CARDS AGAINST PROTECTION!!!

You're funny. Word of Seizing is a sure way to beat CoP: Red. Stuffy Doll can redirect damage to players. You can run artifact creatures like Phyrexian Ironfoot in red decks. Sure he ain't no Oxidda Golem, but there are alot of possibilities.

We also have Hail Storm and Squall Line.

But yeah, the addition of Rolling Brambles or whatever along with Uktabi Drake will make MGA weenie viable again. I personally can't see it being used in Force, since Force places more emphasis on mid game beats.

By the way, Might of Old Krosa sucks. It's not even funny how bad it is midgame. You can't even save your Llanowar Elves from Helix with it. And if you play it sorcery-like, then they'll just torch/kill/bounce your creature. If you want a solid growth spell for 1-2 mana, Resize, Giant Growth, and Avoid Fate are sure bets.

Primal Forcemage was meant to synnergize with Suspended creatures, since they do have haste. In the prerelease I had 2 Nantuko Shamans and 2 Forcemages, so I know it works well.

By the way, the old green Ball Lightning was Yavimaya Ants. It didn't see too much play. =\

OMG... MGA will be something truly to be feared if this is true. Spectral Force isn't even close to how big 3 for 6, haste, trample is (Force rarely untaps anyways, he's usually the Coup de Grace).

Why is it hard to believe Calciderm is ~10?

Although it's uncommon, TS cards are purple, they technically have no rarity because you only get one per pack (2 with foil, but who's counting?). You get alot more set uncommons.

    Where's the green love, Wizards?!

YEAH! They haven't given green anything! Why not give them young Freyalise? I've never heard about her pre-walkerness. ^^

I wouldn't quite say that. A very good argument can be made in favor of Magus of the Jar for being the most broken one of the cycle.

Jar is a 3/3. Or was it 1/1?

And you have to sack the Jar.

Somehow, I can't see anyone playing UW or GW deck playing 4 of these maindeck. Maybe 3. You don't want to have 2-3 of these guys in your hand, they become dead cards. And if you're regenerating all day, you only need one.

But damn. That activation cost is crazy. At least it's 4 mana so people running control have time to set up against it. But I'm pretty sure this guy changes the metagame. Looks like non-red aggro is going out the window. Killed the deck variety we were enjoying.

Well at least the regeneration will not be constantly renewable.

The effects knocks the regeneration enchantment off as well.
