I originally tried using these as a budget option for a land cycle. After 2 drafts I immediately removed them for actually being TOO good. One player slyly drafted all lands pack 1, and proceeding to draft 5-color good stuff.

    He won. Twice.

They are probably harmless at 720 though!

I find myself playing Sultai a lot. It's fun as heck yo

EDIT: Whoops, didn't notice Condescend with the hidden image. Yeah I love it! Absolutely love the Scry 2.

So I chuckled at first when some people considered putting this into an artifact slot and not a black slot. Obviously, the activated ability is required to make this card truly shine in the decks that want it. But I am now realizing that being a colorless Chainwalker is already pretty impressive, and putting this in 360 black may actually harm the color. It'll be fought over as a decent pick for an aggressive red deck, and any more cuts in black is like a dagger in my side, as it could weaken other strategies. Is it crazy to put it in artifacts as a aggressive option?

I also prefer the OG version. I prefer the art, it looks more mystical and mirrodin-ish to me, also I like the light grey artifacts from the first two mirrordin blocks, so I always prefer them to newer versions.

True that. I love the old etchings in the background, it looks so crazy and omnipotent.

Also thanks for the comments on artifact-matters in 360! I'm basically completely out of slots b/c im doing whatever I can to make sure aggro has a chance with more burn and effective little guys, but if I had even 3 more slots... Oh boy.

The BB cost on Relentless Dead scares me, but yeah he really looks and plays well, so if a miracle happens and a 2-drop slot opens up, he'll definitely get in. But I /think/ I agree with Scrapheap Scrounger over Relentless Dead.

I've never considered this for cube. Moreso because artifact-matters cards are nearly impossible to fit into 360 and this needs a combo or cost reduction, etc. to get really broken and worth it. But also after New Emrakul, there's really no way.

I have a decently large collection of prop hats for videos, my most recent purchase is a chef hat with a weird do-rag attachment and it's covered with frogs doing yoga and transparent words across that say things like "Take it easy" and "do your best."

But three of those ARE black aggro 2/1's with downside. Not that there's anything wrong with that, Stax and black aggro go great together.

Yes! I just meant the other playable pikers can often fail to make enough use of their slot (although Ghoul is a zombie for Gravecrawler). I'm currently trying to find the right split between these aggro creatures and stax-y cards, and I might be a teensy bit light on 1-drops still. Black cuts are the hardest thing I've ever had to do.

Quick plug for stax: If anyone else is sick of regular black aggro 2/1's with downsides wheeling all over the place, try cutting them out for a stax package. We now have Blood Spook, Blood Man, Cree P. Crawlie, Snake Lady AND THIS GUY NOW for recurable bodies to feed a Smokestack. Draft it well and it's so sick.

Wow wow wow wow wow. After spending all damn summer deciding on the fate of black aggro and designing stax in my 360 cube, THIS comes out??

Wizards, at this point, you are the only company that makes me excited to get rid of my disposable income.

So I personally am having a difficult time justifying Arc Trail to myself. I definitely see the strength in it, but without physically testing it myself, I keep feeling it's just too low impact for a direct damage spell at 360. Can anyone give some personal examples of it really putting in work?

This is easily the first card in Standard I have ever actually considered buying for cube before it rotates. This is ******* insane.

Please forgive me as I try to peel off the hype veil of "holy crap this isn't a 4 drop get it in right now"

I do think that the 2 toughness is quite bad, especially for it's livelihood against removal. But in combat it's a beast twice, and after getting in maybe 5-6 points of damage by itself, I would be more than happy to trade it off to a 2-drop afterwards. So I do really like it in gruul aggro. Not good enough for 360, but really shows some promise. Sadly, that promise is only in the exact deck that wants it, and that seems too narrow to deserve a slot in a guild.

Awesome, thank you for the replies! Didn't consider the effect on killing their only swamp for removal, etc.

Emrakul, Promised End is a great consideration too, it should almost always cost around 10 anyway. I'm still leaning towards Ulamog for the higher resilience with indestructible. Actually, the only part I'm worried about is the 20 card trigger, it might feel really bad to lose to in 1-2 swings. But a 13/13 flyer that you ram their creatures into does that job anyway...

Sundering Titan in. If I did add either new eldrazi as well, do you think that'd be a little too much in 360 alongside those planeswalkers?

I also cut my Bonfire in order to give Red more consistent fireballs like Rolling Earthquake and Devil's Play. Don't think I'll look back, as I'm not upgrading from 360 any time soon.

Hey! I'm having a really difficult time figuring out this slot. Background info: Knowing that I run a 360 unpowered cube, with Karn, Ugin, Robot Ball, ~9 mana rocks...

I'm trying to decide if I should cut Ulamog's Crusher for Sundering Titan. Titan doesn't actually seem too much better to me overall in reanimator (although it passes terminate test) and probably better in mana rock ramp. Crusher is always one-sided though. (Also I don't run Tinker, so no benefit there.) They both kill lands but Crusher has the feel-bad word written on it. HOWEVER I also really want to add Newlamog b/c he's the biggest, craziest payoff for reanimator/ramp I can think of and has wicked art.

So, Ulamog's Crusher vs. Sundering Titan? And after that, where does Newlamog fit in my cube? I can find a slot somewhere else for him, but is that just TOO MUCH COLORLESS BEEF at 360? Thanks for your time!

I'm currently having a very difficult time deciding between multiple colorless fatty's/reanimator targets for my 360 cube. I doubt I would ever cut Karn though. 7 mana is attainable for a lot of decks, and the guaranteed removal when he drops is so good. His +4, sometimes great, can often do little except slightly pressure the opponent, but it's a +4. His ultimate is really, really annoying and can actually hurt your chances of winning the match if you don't have much time left. (But, of course, it is entirely optional to do, and gaining CA every turn instead is usually smarter.)

Most liberated: Exiled Myr Battlesphere, restarted game, swing for 12, swing for 12.
