I... can't adequately explain what to say bout the movie... I mean, I liked it. My best friend, however, went home to get an IQ test to make sure he's still normal, or so he says. Anyways, I've been hyped for 300 for awhile now. Yet I recently came upon Dead Silence, which comes out the same day as 300 I believe. Now, I don't know if anyone else has seen the trailers, the normal and uncut versions but I'm seriously hooked. The uncut version of the trailer's in the movie's site, cause I couldn't find it in youTube. Mind you, it has an age verification thingy so as to prevent youngsters eyes. >_> Plus, I love the rhyme:

I've talked to a few close friends of mine who said that on previous relationships, he was an ass. Personally, I'm against the usage of slurs in any way. I'm not even all that comfortable with friends using them as jokes. I just don't see the humor in it. And as insults, I think they're rude and ignorant. Want to insult someone? Don't resort to using completely neutral traits that the person has no control over (race, sex, sexual orientation). It's childish, pointless and ignorant. At the very least, use their actions and behavior to base your insults on.
Hmm. Pardon me. I didn't notice how I chose my words. The thing is, atleast in my environment, the words are rarely used. I mean, I totally agree with your point of view regarding the words as insults and indeed find it to be totally ignorant on behalf of the speaker. And to be honest, those few times I do get into an argument, part of me has a lil' fun just analyzing their persona and behavior for the next remark. Otherwise, I've found they kinda get more pissed off when you're nice. =/ Never did understand that.
On the usage of the words in a joking manner, to be honest, I've never been on the receiving end on one of those jokes, but a friend of mine has. I eventually told all my friends to basically stop that outright.
