Your skimping out on Swarmyards. Don't matter that your not running Typhoid Rats. Your deck would benefit from it as your practically running rat tribal what with 20/28 of your creatures being rats and your rats can serve as blockers because lets face it, your not aggro.

Besides lets take a fair look into how mana intensive your deck is, shall we? The only card your running that takes BB is Wrench Mind, which is a 2-of. Every other card in your deck only requires B and/or 0/1/2.

Besides where is Raven's Crime? One of the best discard spells printed to date.
Where is Liliana's Caress? Play a rat, your your opponent discards a card, takes 2 damage, and you got a 1/1 or 2/1 or 1/2.

You honestly have to commit to a strategy. You can't half-rear it. If your about discard, be about discard.

Besides here is a good question I haven't seen brought up: What is your win condition exactly as the deck currently is? Do you plan on just stalling out the game until your rats kill your opponent eventually or are you hoping your opponent eventually decks themselves?

No more tucking on generals? HURRAY!
It was always fairly BS that you needed to run tutors or hexproof/shroud for your general just so they didn't get tucked which was a worse fate than being exiled if you had no easy means of recovering your general.

You know, Volcanic Vision would have been a janky yet fun combo with itself in Standard IF it didn't have that stupid "Exile Volcanic Vision" text.

I really wish they would cease and desist with that.

You know its bad when Myth Realized and Assault Formation alone make for more interesting enchantments than most of what Theros block had to offer. Most people remember Bestow and the Enchantment Gods. Not much else.

I understand they didn't want to break standard with enchantments yet they might as well have went all in with it to make it more memorable and interesting.

Somewhere between mediocre and garbage can. You will only get a max of three cards off of this spell, regardless of the deck, amount of mana spent, or point in the game. Generally, this is a worse weave fate. Even if you go for x=3+ the odds that you can use all of the cards are stacked against you.

Storm would so have a use for it. Its practically made for such shenanigans.

Speaking as a long-time player, like launch... if Kayle is jungling and she is doing it well, that should be a good thing. Kayle is one those champs since the game was released that has always had a problem of finding a home. Is she a mid-laner? A support for bottom lane? A solo topper? So when it turns out she is a great jungler now I would say don't nerf her.

I am still annoyed that Azir was nerfed the way he was. It shouldn't have been both the range of his soldiers on his W and the damage on his Q. One or the other would have made him not as bad a lane bully but both makes his early game atrocious. Instead of before where you just put a W down that could easily reach an entire minion wave now you have to W+Q to poke and reach part of a minion wave. Plus your more likely to just keep a soldier up behind you just so you can dash away during the early game because your poke is atrocious and needs a buff.

Like if his W was nerfed but the damage on his Q was not nerfed he would be similar to Kassadin who can still hurt but is more CQC. Likewise if they nerfed the damage on his Q and not the range on his W he would still have that longer range to poke but his damage is much more subdued. In fact the best buff for both worlds for his W would have been to have it so Rank 1 your W has a range of 325 and that having 5 ranks in it was 400 Range.

Besides it feels like an overreaction from RIOT because they nerfed the only skill point that Azir is forced to put a point into at first level as his Q and E are off limits because they require your W. For normal champs like Graves for instance its not as bad if they nerfed a few abilities and buffed a few, yet with Azir? Its basically nerfing Azir's bread and butter which takes up all of his Q-W-E and Half of his Passive as he is one of those champs that has a skill kit that has huge amount of synergy with itself and is highly dependent on this synergy, aside from his ultimate but its good and is the only rankable ability that doesn't interact with the soldiers at all.

Auto-include for all those Kaalia of the Vast decks. She is the one general I can think of that would appreciate a dragon in the hand instead of the library.

So not only does this orc make your dasher's cheaper, not only is his dash a self-protection from removal, but it makes eTB triggers even more silly like Purphoros, God of the Forge. Run Purphy here alongside eight dashers and you have a big annoyance on your hands for your opponents.

By himself the Warbringer is alright with Purphoros out. 2 damage to everyone for 2R is okay, not something to write home. However with Warbringer and one other dasher while Purphoros is out you deal 4 damage 2RR. Better yet you can play it like playing Warbringer the next turn without dash so you have a cheaper fixture on the battlefield for your other dashers.

Now if only there was an artifact or enchantment or creature that granted Dash to the creatures in your hand. Then we would be cooking.

Beggars can't be choosers. We really haven't seen a new variation on counterspell for quiet a few years. Especially ever since Cancel and Negate became the more reprinted version.
Beggar's can also chose not ignore the food in front of them. I would choose any of these over this card in a blue deck with a Dragon general. I would choose most of these over this card if it was a dragon themed deck:

So you would choose a weaker counter over a hard counter in a dragon themed deck? Pardon the pun but that seems counter intuitive.

Remove Soul, Negate, Essence Scatter, Overwhelming Intellect, Nullify, Muddle the Mixture.

Why in your list did you include these? Even Traumatic Visions I could get as its an expensive hard counter. Yet those six I don't get. Again you were the one who made the comparison to Silumgar's Scorn with Negate for instance within your own list when run in a dragon themed deck. If you had not included the six I would agreed and thought you had a strong point, but its much weaker because you chose to include the weaker counterspells within the list. If you had replaced the weaker counterspells within the list with say Force of Will, Forbid, Last Word, Rewind, Ertai, Wizard Adept, Faerie Trickery, or even Mana Drain you would have had a stronger argument. As it is, it is just not a strong argument when you muddle the mixture with weaker counters.

Dragon Whisperer is really cool to see.
    Mirror Mockery will be fun.
Apparently the red hate card is being revealed later this week. My guess is its a reprint like Combust.

If Wizards thinks that this counterspell would be Modern playable they need to give us some modern playable dragons for this set.

Has to be blue, a 4-of, and make it unkillable/finisher.

    Dragonlord Ojutai?

Dragon Whisperer. Pretty cool red mythic.
    Mirror Mockery. Very good enchantment.

The hate cycle. Honestly I am slightly bummed out that it does not include the red hate card, what makes it so special it gets be in a different article later in the week? Is it a reprint like a Combust?
